A dark glint flashes in Zach’s eyes as if he knows exactly what he’s doing.
Zach Stone is trouble.

Bottom line, Zach would die for River.
Still, it’s as amusing as hell watching Styx squirm with Zach’s intrusive line of questioning.
“Never gonna happen,” Styx says confidently.
“Never?” I peek up at him, pouting a little.
“Shit, Kitty Kat, you’d want me and Ry to… seriously?”
“I don’t know.” I shrug. “I guess I haven’t really given it much thought before.” But now that I have, maybe it’s something I’d like to see. At least once.
“I’m all about your pleasure,” he drawls, sealing his words onto my lips.
“I think that’s our cue, Angel. Dance with me?”
“Zach, we can’t dance,” River protests. “It’s not that kind of bar.”
“It is now. Up you go.” He nudges her out of her seat and takes her hand. “See you guys in a bit.”
“Where they going?” Ryder saunters over, dropping down beside me. We moved to a booth at the back of the bar a while ago, when some of the tension fizzled out between me and the guys, and Diesel.
“To dance apparently,” I reply, sipping my drink.
“That fucker Stone is a handful.”
“Zach? Seems like a solid guy to me,” Ryder says with a half-shrug.
“He wanted to know if… you know.”
“Am I supposed to know what the fuck you’re talking about?” Ryder frowns, and I suppress a smile.
“You know, you and me, together… doing stuff.”
“What the— oh, fuck. You’re kidding?”
“Nope. Just came right out with it.”
“What did you tell him?” Ryder prods.
“That I’m only here for the pussy, no offense.”
“None taken.”
“Why aren’t you more freaked out about this?” It’s Styx’s turn to frown.
“It’s not a big deal, is it? We’re both fucking the same woman. Our swords are bound to cross eventually.”
“The fuck, Jack?”
I’m laughing now.
“You think this is funny, Kitty Kat?” Styx pins me with a dark look. “When we agreed… no one said anything about me and Ryder going there.”
