DAKOTA

We floated home, dancing on cloud nine. The car service dropped us right on the guys’ doorstep, and Jace kissed me one last time before ushering us through the front door.

We were greeted immediately by Merrick and Aurelius, relaxing in the living room watching a movie.

“You’re back early?”

“It’s past midnight,” I countered. “That’s early?”

“Depends on the night,” Aurelius grinned.

Jace began peeling off his uniform layer by layer, then hanging it neatly in true military style. It was distracting as hell, watching him unbutton his way downward, laying the upper half of his chest bare.

“You look amazing in that dress,” Merrick whistled. He eyed me up and down now, his gaze lingering unapologetically as he tossed back the last inch of a glass of whiskey. “I’ll bet you totally slayed.”

The compliment came with a sly wink that made me feel even warmer inside.

“These shoes are definitely slaying my feet,” I smiled, kicking them off. “But thank you.”

My head was spinning, and not just from all the champagne. I’d spent the entire night thinking about the guys — all three of them. Throughout the whole time I was kissing Jace, I couldn’t help but fixate on every smoldering, gut-churning word of what Aurelius had told me about them.

We want to make her happy.

I’d fantasized all day about what he’d said. And while drowning in the depths of those fantasies,Iwas the one they wanted.

The queen of our world.

I couldn’t help but picture these three incredible men, closing in around me. Approaching me from all sides, as their hands moved to touch my shivering, quivering body…

“Dakota?”

Jace was standing before me, removing his cufflinks. Even that little action seemed overtly sexual. I knew it was all in my head, obviously. I’d been thinking so much about all the wickedly hot things these men had done together, I was practically in heat.

“Are you okay?”

“Yes,” I nodded, trying to swallow. “I am.”

“Do you want a drink?”

I thought about slipping into Jace’s bed, instead of the guest room. It could happen. With the kissing we’d done early it would be easy, maybe, except that—

“I don’t want a drink, no,” I said, my heart pounding. “I wantyou.”

Jace’s face flushed immediately red. His eyes shifted to the left and right.

“But that’s not all I want.”

I walked to the center of the room, not stopping until I was standing between all three of them. It felt like someone else’s legs were carrying me.

“Share me.”

The room was suddenly blanketed with a dead, stunned silence. I could’ve announced I was holding a live hand grenade, the faces surrounding me would be no different.

“W—What?” Jace stammered.

“Don’t pretend you don’t know what I’m talking about,” I said, feeling an abrupt surge of confidence. “I want you to share me. All of you.”
