“It means we can be together, for real.” Sasha grins up at her guy. “I told them both.”

“What? What happened?” Channing glances between the two of us.
“Sasha has something to tell you.”

She nods around a weak smile. “They’re going to initiate me, if I want it.”

“You should have seen my dad’s face when Bexley told him that things needed to change. It was priceless. But they agreed. Female heirs can be initium.”
“Wow, I don’t even know what to say to that.” Channing shakes his head. “And do you?”
“Do I what?” Sasha asks, her brows knitted.
“Do you want it?”
“If it means I get to choose who I spend the rest of my life with? Then hell yeah I want it.” She leans up and kisses him softly, but Channing snags her around the neck and pulls her down, deepening the kiss.
“Maybe we should go,” I whisper to Bexley.
“Yeah.” He chuckles. “We’ll catch you guys later.”
They don’t even come up for air as we slip out of Channing’s room, closing the door behind us.
“I’m glad he’s okay,” I say.
“Yeah, me too. Come on.” Bexley takes my hand and leads me down the hall. We step into the elevator, and the second the doors close, he pushes me up against the wall.
“Bex,” I gasp.
“Need to kiss you, Mia.” His fingers thread into my hair as he tilts my face and slides his mouth over mine.
