And as he leads me toward the parking lot, I realize what it is.

Hope.

Bexley drives us back to Electi house. A shiver runs up my spine as we pull up outside the imposing building. I’m not sure I’ll ever feel comfortable here after everything that’s happened.

Coming around to open my door, Bexley holds out his hand and helps me out. “Hi,” he says, gazing at me with nothing but love.

“Hi.”

My brows pinch when he doesn’t head for the front door but instead leads me around the back of the house, toward the lake. “Remember that night, when I found you down here?”

“I do.” It feels like a lifetime ago.

“I knew that night, you know. Knew you were supposed to be mine.”

“You did not.” I swat his arm.

“Did too. I felt this tug in my chest, like the universe giving me a sign that you were the one.”

“Bex…” It comes out breathy.

We follow the path down to the lake. It shimmers before us like a blanket of diamonds.

Bexley pulls me around to face him and loops his arms around my waist.

“I know what this place means to you now… so I talked to the guys, and they agree that we should move.”

“M-move?” I gawk at him.

“Yeah. If you want to.”

“I want to.” I want nothing more. “But what about Phillip and Q? This place is—"

“Just a house. A house full of bad memories. We’re taking things into a new chapter, so I figured a fresh start will be good. For all of us.”

“They all agreed?”

Bexley nods. “Tim and Fawn are going to keep their own place, but they’ll have a room in the new place.”

“Ashton?”

His eyes flash with annoyance. “Yeah, I guess Moore can come.”

“Yes. Yes, I want to move.” I fling my arms around his shoulders and he chuckles.

“That’s not all, Mia.” Bexley gently eases me away and dips his hand into his pocket.

“Bex…” My voice quivers as the air crackles around us. He drops to one knee, gazing up at me, and I freeze.

“What are you doing?” My voice cracks.

His lips curve into a full smile. “Finally making you mine.”
