Lindsay and Jacob jump in the front two seats as Daniel helps me onto the back. "Have you ever been to a meet and greet before?" Jacob turns around and asks.

"She's never even been to a festival before," Lindsay interjects, answering for me.

I shrug. "My ex-husband hated crowds. I did go to a Backstreet Boys concert once in '97."

"Are you ready for three days of country rock partying?"

"Definitely. Pop was never my thing, but my parents thought it was safe. I've been listening to The Nashville Hunters for as long as I can remember. Your song Bullet in the Heart changed my life."

"Damn, you go back to our underground shit. Linds, you didn't tell me your friend was such a big fan."

"What can I say? I didn't want to come off as a crazy fan girl." Her death glare hits me like daggers. I giggle, knowing she has never been a fan of the Hustlers.

This kid's driving too fast on the bumpy dirt road to get Jacob to the tent on time, sending me bouncing all over the seat. "Here, hold on to my arm," Daniel offers. "I got you if this jackass sends us flying."

"Thanks." My voice cracks as I speak. How can I talk to JacobfreakingBell without trouble, but I can't form a coherent sentence with this stranger?

I'm sure it has nothing to do with the fact that he's one of the hottest men I've ever seen.

When the cart stops, Jacob and Daniel quickly jump out, offering hands of assistance to Lindsay and me. "You guys ready for some crazy fandemonium? These things are known to get wild."

"Oh. My. God." My feet freeze in place.

"What? Andi? Are you okay?" Lindsay asks.

Instantly, I have sweaty palms. "I am about to meet Derrick Hall. Do you realize how many posters of him I had on my wall growing up? He was my first crush."

"Lil' D? Really?" Jacob laughs. “Not me?” he jokes.

"You guys call him Little D?” Lindsay chimes in, saving me from having to admit that yes, in fact, I did have a crush on Jacob too. “You realize how offensive that is, right?"

"No, baby. It's notLittleD. It'sLil'D. We call him that because he's my younger cousin and stands almost six-foot-five—”

"Mr. Bell, they need you at the meet and greet table now." A young kid wearing a t-shirt from the local Seattle radio station directs us to the waiting area.

"Alright, I'm off to sign some tits. See you ladies in an hour," Jacob says before exiting the tent.

"Oh, hell no!" Lindsay's out of the tent before the flap doors even close.

Daniel and I are left alone, sitting on the couch, like two awkward kids in middle school. His feet shuffle, while I can't stop my hands from twitching.

"Want a beer?" he asks.

"I'd love one. Thanks."

He pops the top off, handing me the frosty bottle.

"How long have you and Jacob been friends?"

"We played baseball together when we were like twelve. Been buddies ever since. How do you know Lindsay?"

"We were neighbors growing up and have been best friends since high school."

The awkward silence returns. We slowly sip our beers to make up for the lack of conversation.

"Oh. My. God.” Lindsay storms into the tent, shaking her head. “Ten minutes of participating in a Meet and Greet, and I'mdone. That truly takes a special kind of person. The number of camera flashes alone was insane." She grabs herself a beer and plops down between Daniel and me. "So, what are you two talking about?"

"Nothing much. Just enjoying our beers."
