"Yes! Oh my god, yes. We still have to decide on names. Do you have any ideas?"

"I was thinking Oreo and Cookie."

"Cute. What about Cow and Milk?" I throw out.

Daniel tilts his head in confusion. "What?"

"I don't know," I say between giggles. "I think naming them something black and white themed would be adorable."

"Maybe we should wait until we pick them to see if we can figure out names to match their personalities."

"Why do you always have to be so smart and logical?"

He laughs. "I guess it's just in my nature."

I'm bouncing in my seat for the second time today as we pull up to the Mecca Animal Rescue. To rescue a dog has always been something I've wanted to do my entire life, and now Daniel and I get to adopt these two adorable sibling pups.

Macy and Georgia sit on their porch, waiting for us with the black and white Pitbulls in their laps.

"Are you both excited about becoming dog parents?" Macy asks.

"More than ready. I believe Andrea has read every puppy blog ever written," Daniel teases.

"I like to be prepared." I shrug. It was a bit of a drive, so I filled my time by educating myself, and in turn, Daniel. "We just need to figure out names."

"I tell you what I've been calling this little stinker lately," Georgia says, holding up our little boy. "He's all quiet and charming when you first are around, and then out of nowhere, he turns into a crazy little maniac. Don't you, Beetlejuice?" She kisses the dog on the nose.

My mouth drops open. "What a weird coincidence. That's my favorite movie."

"It's not a coincidence. It's fate," says Macy. "And I think you may just have the perfect little Lydia right here."

I take my little girl from here and nuzzle her against my chin. "I already love her so much."

"They're all yours. Here's their information." Macy hands me a large manila envelope with all the dogs' information as Daniel gets the pups situated in the back seat contraption we bought to keep them safe. "Good luck, new puppy family."

The next thirty minutes are quiet as I watch the puppies sleep. "A penny for your thoughts?" Daniel asks.

"That's Mason's favorite saying. Madison says it's only because he's nosy."

"I'm sorry. Was I being nosy?"

"No, no. I wasn't talking about you."

"You just looked deep in thought. Almost sad for a moment. You had me worried," he says.

My face has a difficult time hiding my emotions. "What's going to happen when I go back to my R.V.? Are we splitting them up? I keep one; you keep one. Are we sharing custody?"

"Are you planning to start traveling again?” He asks, glancing at me quickly. “I didn't know you were even thinking about leaving."

"I wasn't, really. But I wasn't sure if I would be staying, either. We haven't talked about it."

Pulling into a beachfront lot, Daniel puts the car in park. He pulls a small box out of the center console and tries to secretly slip it into his pocket. Grabbing the dogs and their leashes, we walk to the shore.

Daniel takes a box from his pocket and nervously fiddles with the bow. "I was saving present number three for later tonight, but I think we can rearrange some things.” He takes a deep breath, then looks me in the eyes. “Andrea, you are the rainbow peeking through my storm each day. Waking up with you beside me has brought light to my world every day. I know we're new, and I don't know what the future holds for us, but I'm willing to fight to spend every day with you."

Taking the box from Daniel, my hands are shaking. With the trial looming so closely, we haven't stopped discussing the future. I know we're falling for each other, but it's all happening so quickly.

And yet, I couldn't be happier with how our relationship is progressing.
