Then he was there, ready to leave my life for a second time. I leaned over the railing, struggling to breathe.

“Kirill!”

I was certain he hadn’t heard me. When he stopped, I continued walking, struggling to keep from falling down the last few steps.

As he turned around, the tears continued to fall, staining my face.

For a few seconds, he acted as if he was going to walk out again. Then he lunged toward me, sweeping me off my feet.

“Moy prekrasnyy ognennyy shar,” he whispered.

My beautiful fireball. No words had ever sounded sweeter. He cupped my cheek, lowering his head.

“I’ve missed you,” I whispered. “I couldn’t stop thinking about you.”

“I’ve missed you, my printsessa. You managed to crawl into my heart.”

“My parents. You brought them here, didn’t you?”

“I remembered what you told me. I wanted this to be special,” he whispered, his scent intoxicating.

“I don’t want this to end, Kirill. I can’t… I can’t live without you. I don’t care about what you do or what could happen.”

“There’s no need for any more words. I have no intention of ever leaving you again. You are mine. Not just for now, but forever.” Growling, he captured my mouth, dragging me against the heat of his body. All the passion that had been pent up inside, all the need and longing came bursting to the surface, tiny bottle rockets exploding all around us.

He pulled me onto my toes, the kiss becoming a passionate roar. The taste of him was even more incredible than I remembered, my body thoroughly aroused. When he finally broke the kiss, he nuzzled against my neck, nipping my ear. And his husky whisper was even more powerful than his tight hold.

“You will learn to obey me, my perfect rebel. If not…”

I shuddered. He didn’t need to finish the sentence. I knew exactly what to expect and I couldn’t wait.

After all, fantasies could come true…

The End
