When I know she's completely sated, it only takes a couple more thrusts before I let go and empty everything I have into the condom. Her name rolls off my tongue like it's the only thing I can think of, and maybe it is. This girl has managed to take over every inch of my being, and there isn't a damn thing I can do to change it.

She's got me— lock, stock, and barrel.

My alarm sounds in the morning, pulling me from my way-too-short slumber. I reach over and turn it off before collapsing back into my bed. Memories of last night play through my head, and if it wasn't for the soreness, I'd wonder if it was a dream.

Everything about it was perfect. Zayn was perfect. The way he made sure I wasn't making some reckless mistake. The wa

y he got me off twice before even thinking about himself. The way he kissed me after, and asked if I was okay. He may believe that he's some kind of monster who doesn't deserve anything good in the world, but he couldn't be more wrong.

I climb out of bed and make quick work of getting dressed. Instead of wasting time with doing my hair, I tie it up into a messy bun and call it a day. It's not like I have anyone to impress, other than Zayn, who made sure to note that sex hair looks good on me. So, fuck it.

Making my way downstairs, I find Easton sitting at the kitchen table. He's sitting there reading the newspaper while drinking a cup of coffee. And the glasses he has on don't do him any favors.

“You look like an old man,” I tease him.

He scoffs. “And you look homeless.”

“I do not.”

His eyes meet mine, and he smirks. “You will when I kick your ass out.”

I clutch my imaginary pearls and gasp. “You would never.”

“Bet.”

Jerk. “Please tell me you made a full pot of that. I am seriously lacking in the energy department today.”

He nods toward the coffee maker and goes back to reading his paper. “Didn't sleep well last night?”

I bite down on my lip as I pour liquid caffeine into the cup. “I had to finish an essay and didn't get done until late.”

So, it's not exactly a lie. More like an omission of detail. And besides, it's not like I'm purposely hiding what happened. I just don't think my brother has any desire to hear the details of my sex life. I'd probably end up going into way too many details about the size of Zayn’s cock and the way it felt as he pounded into me, chasing his high.

“You should have done it during the day.”

My lungs convulse, and I choke on air. “What?”

His head tilts to the side as he watches me, confused. “Your essay. You should have done it during the day.”

Oh. Duh. “Yeah, yeah. Always such the responsible one.”

Zayn walks into the room, and my whole body freezes. He's sporting his usual black jeans and band T-shirt, but he switched out his eyebrow ring with a hot pink one and threw on his black leather jacket.

“What are you two bickering about?” he asks as he walks past me but barely even looks my way.

Easton hums. “Amelia's lack of sleeping at night.”

His choice of words make me think that Zayn is going to trip up, but he doesn't miss a beat. He chuckles softly and grabs a mug out of the cabinet before pouring himself a cup of coffee.

“I seem to remember someone else being a night owl for a while there,” he points out to Easton.

My brother rolls his eyes. “That's different. I was getting laid by one of the hottest girls in North Haven. Anyone would stay up all hours for that shit.”

This has to be some kind of joke, but no. Zayn still has yet to acknowledge me as he purses his lips.

“Good point.”

I shake my head, trying to ignore the pain in my chest at the thought of him once again pushing me away. “Okay, I really don't need to hear this.”
