Kennedy sighs. “I told you I will tell you and Tye at the same time.”
“Okay, well here we are,” she says. “Spit it out.”
“Are you always this high strung?” Kennedy asks.
Amelia smiles guiltily. “Patience is not my strong suit.”
I chuckle softly at their banter. “Well, I have something to tell you, too. So, on the count of three, why don’t we all say our news at once?”
Kennedy and Amelia both nod in agreement and we stand close, counting down from three.
Three.
Two.
One.
All three confessions come out at once.
“Carter and I closed on a house.”
“Zayn proposed!”
“I’m pregnant.”
My eyes widen as Amelia and I turn to Kennedy with our jaws dropped. She wraps her arms around herself and looks like she’s on the verge of a breakdown. Amelia starts firing questions at her a mile a minute, but I’m shocked into silence.
Oh fuck.
