“Will you have a think about it?” I asked him one last time, hoping he would not use the magic that was fizzing in his palm.
“I will,” he said and gave a nod of his head. “You and Kane are both in agreement.”

I laughed, and he growled again.

“Then go home, have a think about it, and decide what life you want. Because she isn’t leaving this one. This is the closest you have got to her. She fell in love with you. She has your child, which was a dick move, by the way.”
Blake grinned. He knew I wanted a child with Lacey.
“I’ll forgive you for it. You saved my life. But, you need to think about saving your own life. Because once she casts a spell on herself, she is lost to you forever. You can live your dark, lonely life, you can create hell in the world, or you can live the rest of your life with the one you love.”
Blake grumbled something underneath his breath but I didn’t catch it and I was about to say something else, but his massive wings spanned from their floating position, making mine look amateur. His wings blasted downwards, rocketing him into the air.
I wanted to know his answer, but I remained floating, waiting for a sign. He didn’t give one and eventually he was too far away and I turned back to the house.

Lacey
Istrolledoutofthe steamy bathroom, wrapped in a tiny towel with wet hair clinging to my face. Seb smiled brightly as he strutted toward me.
