“Nope,” he said. “He’s been strange for a few weeks. I think Blake is onto something.”
“Carter said the same thing.” I swiped my tongue over my lip. “He’s been strange since he found out about Aria.”
Seb nodded. “He is probably jealous of Kane. It’s not a bad idea to bind with me without his knowledge and be extra vigilant when you choose to bind with him.”
Leaning over to Seb, I kissed him leisurely on the lips and smiled as I pulled away. “I love you, Seb.”
“I love you,” he said and grinned. “See our daughter, and I want my cuddles with her after I’ve had a shower.”
I grinned at that. Seb loved Aria like his own, and I loved watching him with her. He cherished her and sometimes it was funny to see him fight Kane off for his cuddles.
“Thanks,” I said, leaned over to his side of the car and taking a fistful of his shirt and surged my lips onto his. He growled. The sound came from deep within in his chest.
His forehead pressed on mine and our eyes locked together as we smiled at each other.
“Go, before I ravish you here,” he said.
“I liked the last car sex we had, it’s hardly a threat,” I said with a wink and opened the car door, grabbed my bag and dashed into the house because as much as sex with Seb would be wonderful I needed to see my baby.
“Kane,” I shouted. I dropped my bag on the floor and rushed into the house.
Maggie dashed towards me, placing her index finger over her lips. “Aria has just gone for a nap.”
I tried to rein in the pout that wanted to escape from my lips. I wanted to hold her and feed her.
“I need you to express,” Maggie said. I groaned because I hated expressing.
“I’ll see her first,” I said and walked to the downstairs guest room that Kane had taken and I knew Aria’s crib would be in with him as it always was when he was home.
I gently pushed at the door to the bedroom. My heart melted in an instant, seeing Kane looking half drunk on love as he held a sleeping baby in his enormous arms.

I smiled at him as I walked to the bed; I leaned down and kissed Aria on her forehead and reached up and kissed Kane’s lips. He smiled as I snuggled next to him on the bed.
“Missed you,” I said. Wanting to ask Kane about him being an angel, because I knew there was something special about his status, or perhaps it was only because he was higher ranking than Seb.
“I saw Seb today...” I said, and hesitated. “In his true form.”
Kane twisted at me. “Were you okay?”
I nodded. “I remembered. Everything came flooding back. I know who I am now, what happened in the beginning. How much I loved you and Seb and then Blake.”
Kane groaned. “I was hoping you’d only remember Seb and me.”
“Blake needs to be part of us for this to work,” I said. “I agree with Seb, this life needs to be the permanent life. I want more babies and I want to see them all grow up.”
“How do Carter and Ryan fit in?” Kane asked.
“I don’t think we’ll know for sure until I break the spell. Maybe they are like you and Blake and joined me in a new life. I don’t feel them in the same way yet because I’ve never felt them before this life,” I said and hesitated. “It started with Seb. You joined him in the next life, Blake joined in the next...”
Kane groaned.
“Kane, nothing matters if I don’t fight the dark king.” I chewed on my bottom lip as I stared at him. “I need to bind with Seb and Ryan.”
“Why the urgency?”
“The dark king rescued me from the vampire king. I felt him, Kane. I think the spell that stops me from feeling the mate bonds is weakening. And he knows it.”
