“Yessir, boss. I got it.” I agreed, giving him a salute.

He rolled his eyes. “Cute. Have fun today. I’ll call you later.”

He leaned over and kissed my forehead before he stood and left, throwing a smile over his shoulder before disappearing down the hall.

I couldn’t move.

I couldn’t breathe.

Did that just happen?

Hell, more like did last night happen.

Lock has been all over the place ever since we’ve spent the night exploring his dark side, what I like to call his alter ego. I had the most amazing time, but from the way he had kept his distance afterwards, I thought maybehedidn’t. I had been waiting for forever to tap into his dark side, that side he kept buried under a ton of moodiness and anger. I didn’t believe he would ever show that side of him to me, but he did. Oh boy, did he and I was hooked, addicted, and was dying for more.

It wasn’t as intense as I expected. He didn’t tie me up and flog me, which was something Byron had done all the time. No, Lock wasn’t like that. He just fucked me every which way he could and the way he wanted without asking for permission or apology. He was aggressive, pulling my hair, moving me wherever he wanted me to be, which I loved. He was out of control, allowing himself to let go and just be. He marked me all over my body, using his lips and teeth. I still have suck marks on my skin and that was two nights ago.

What was hard to get used to that night was not being able to touch him. Lock didn’t verbalize he wanted me to keep my hands and eyes to myself. But the placement of my hands on the headboard was a dead giveaway. Also, anytime we were engaged in lewd acts, i.e., fucking, my eyes were either covered with a blindfold, face buried in a pillow, or he took me from behind. I wasn’t sure if it had to do with him not wanting me to see the heavy darkness in his eyes or he was afraid what he would see in my eyes. I wasn’t sure nor did I complain. I didn’t sneak a peek at him or test the waters. I obeyed and was rewarded with the best night of my life.

The next morning, I woke up early, showered and was going to make him breakfast. But by the time I came downstairs, he was gone. I barely saw him that day or the next. Last night had been the first time I had seen him and all I was able to do was smile at him before he grumbled and disappeared upstairs. I gave up trying to wait for him after that. I figured if he wanted to talk to me about the other night, he would come to me. What I didn’t expect when I went to sleep was for him to come into my bedroom and carry me to his bed.

I didn’t expect the talk we had, or him explaining what happened that caused the darkness to seize him. I wasn’t sure what was going on with us, but I could say one thing for certain, things between us have definitely changed. Let’s just see if it’s for the better. Fingers crossed.

“Oh my goodness, those jeans look good on you, girl,” Noelle praised, a wide smile on her lovely face.

I stared at my reflection, nodding my head. They did look good. They complemented my hips and ass very nicely. The jeans were light blue, soft stretchy material, and wide-legged. I wore a crop top, Ayana’s idea, and I had to admit I looked pretty good.

“Okay, that’s what, outfit number eight? With the summer dresses you picked up, shorts, tops, I think you’re good for at least a few weeks.”

The girls and I have been all over this mall, in every store, buying underwear, bras, shoes, purses, belts and clothes. Homer and Lester were hanging, but I could tell they were ready to call it a night. They moaned and groaned every time we left a store empty-handed after spending thirty minutes inside, trying on clothes. To make up for ruining their perfectly good Friday, I had promised them two bottles of alcohol of their choice. They perked up after that.

“I agree. Let’s rap this up and go get something to eat.” I said to my two besties.

“Thank fuck,” Homer mumbled, but loud enough for us to hear.

We all laughed, and I went back into the changing room to put my clothes back on.

I had been riding on cloud nine all day. I didn’t think anything could ruin this day for me. From the night I had wrapped up in Lock, to the next day hanging out with my girls, I couldn’t have planned a better time in my wildest dream.

We decided to pick up dinner. We ordered from Ayana’s favorite spot called 24thStreet Grille. I ordered a burger and fries. Ana and Noelle each ordered steaks, they were starving, and would you know we could order certain alcoholic drinks to go? Naturally, I ordered a margarita. Noelle ordered Sangria. Ana, of course, had lemonade, but she swore she would make up for all the times she wasn’t able to drink as soon as she dropped her load. Her words, not mine.

The guys ordered steaks too, and after they searched Lock’s house, making sure all was safe, they sat in the TV room while we took over the dining room.

We were well into our food when Ayana spoke up.

“You two wouldn’t guess what happened the other night?” she looked at both of us, anticipation pouring from her eyes.

We looked at her expectantly, knowing her question was rhetorical.

Ayana dropped her fork into her empty container and leaned back in her chair, her lemonade in her hand.

“Brad finally admitted that his preciousJenhas boundary issues.”

I raised an eyebrow but stuck a fry into my mouth, leaving Noelle to ask the question.

“Really? How? What happened?”

“Brad and I had decided to stay in for the night instead of going out to dinner. It was a rare day he had off and at first, I wanted to get dressed up and enjoy the way my husband loves to undress me with his eyes in public.” She grinned devilishly at us, and we both rolled our eyes.
