Noah’s words had tears pricking my eyes again. Fuck these hormones.

“Well, if you insist.” Caleb reached out, and I caught the slight tremor in his hands as he lifted Eden from my arms, holding her like he’d been fucking born to do it.

She began to fuss, her little face scrunching into a frown as a thready cry escaped her. I reached for her, but Caleb softly bounced in place, shushing her.

Alek took up Caleb’s spot behind me, curling an arm around my waist and drawing me against him. Noah threaded his fingers through mine while Kingston did the same on the other side. Together we watched Caleb step out of the shadows where he’d spent so many years hiding and into the role where he truly belonged. As part of our family.

“Don’t cry, my wee darling. It’s all right.” He locked eyes with me and smiled, pure happiness on his face. Then he turned his attention back to our daughter. “Your da is going to tell you a story.”

My heart lifted as he began.

“Once upon a time...”

The End... or is it?

SUNDAY

Two months later

Ididn’t end up going with a white dress. But something told me Kingston wouldn’t be disappointed.

“I’ve always said red is your color.” Moira beamed at me in the mirror as she fussed with the silk buttons that ran from my bra line to the base of my spine.

I nervously skimmed my hands over the scarlet-colored satin, pleased with the simplicity of my dress. The bodice was perfectly fitted, showcasing my curves and flowing down my body in a pool of fabric. Elegant, striking, and leaving very little to the imagination in the most demure way. It would drive them all wild but stayed just on this side of the respectability line.

Which was important to me when I had four mates and three mothers-in-law.

The guys were holding on tight to the antiquated notion of not seeing me before this ceremony, which I found ridiculous. I mean, they’d seen just about every single part of my body in very intimate ways, but if it was what they wanted, I’d do it. I was actually surprised by how seriously they were taking this whole thing. It was like once Caleb planted the idea, they ran wild with it.

As much as I was looking forward to the part where we exchanged our vows and formally tied our lives together in front of our friends and families, what I was really looking forward to was theafter. Even though it had been my decision to hold off on redoing our mating marks, I hadn’t anticipated how much I’d miss that soul-deep connection to my men. I wanted it back. I was more than ready. The rest of this was a formality, a way for our families to also unite, but solidifying our bonds was the part that truly mattered to me.

A soft knock on the door had us both turning toward the sound, excitement humming in my blood.

“You. Stay.” Moira leveled me with her stare before she crossed the room and opened the door.

A whiff of bergamot hit my nose, instantly making me long for Noah. But this particular scent wasn’t him. It belonged to Westley.

“A gift for Sunday from my mother.”

“Thank you, West. Is she here?” I asked, staring into eyes the same color as my Noah’s.

He smiled and nodded. That one revelation made my heart soar. Noah had been so worried she wouldn’t be ready to be in mixed company after being turned. That was part of the reason we’d waited two months. It seemed like forever, but we’d all needed the time to say proper goodbyes to those we’d lost and settle into our new normal.

But now, everyonewas here. The remaining Farrells, the Blackthornes, and even the Novasgardians—though Quinn and I had a long talk before I extended her invite. I still didn’t like her very much, but I had to respect the woman for the lengths she went to protect my mate.

“Well, are you going to open it, or what?”

I rolled my eyes at Moira, sharing a conspiratorial look with West as he handed me a flat velvet case. I opened it, revealing a familiar twinkling necklace.

The Blackthorne jewels.

“Pfft. Mine was better, but I guess the real thing is nice too.”

“Salty, Mo?”

“Maybe. Just a little.” She lifted her thumb and forefinger, holding them close together. “But only because now I can’t magic you up something.”
