“Except you ruined the popcorn ya shank!” Gia shoved him in the shoulder.

“You’ll be alright. Pick them out.” He shoved her back. He leaned back on the couch and pulled me to his chest. “Just start the movie.”

Gia shook her head and pushed play. The movie got right into the action, with two guys going toe to toe and beating the crap out of each other. Luka kissed my forehead and then whispered in my ear. “Are you guys good?”

I looked at him and nodded. “Yeah, I’ll fill you in later.”

He smiled and kissed my lips. “Okay, beautiful.” He trailed back to my ear, “and don’t think I didn’t notice you’re wearing panties.” He grabbed the blanket slung over the back of the couch covering us both in it as he slid his hand up my dress and underneath my panties. He ran one finger up and gave my clit a pinch. “Your punishment starts now.” He breathed into my ear.

I clenched against his hand and tightened my jaw forcing down the moan trying to break from my lips.

“From now on Wrath makes no more appearances, right?” Arturo looked at me.

“Yes, father.”

“I’m serious, Alora. If The Consortium finds out, we may not be able to help you.”

“He’s right. Wrath needs to hang up her hat.” Luka chimed in.

“Alright, fine. No more, I’m done.”

They both nodded. I shook my head. “The two of you are bossy, you know that?” We pulled up to the house and made our way inside. Nick and Dad were standing in the foyer talking.

Dad walked up and pulled me into a hug. It still felt weird calling him dad, but the more I did it, it just seemed right. “Good, you’re home. Maybe you can talk some sense into your brother.”

“I am not changing my mind about this. No matter what any of you have to say.” Nick shook his head.

“Someone explain what is going on please.” I looked between the two of them. They just stared at one another.

“You tell her,” Dad replied.

Nick looked at me. “I know we were trying to figure out someone to go in, be inside and infiltrate.”

“Yeah, but we decided it had to be someone who would volunteer to go in,” I replied.

“I know. I’m volunteering.” Nick said.

I looked at Dad. He shook his head. “I think it's a terrible idea too.”

“Nick, you can’t.”

“I can and I am going to. My mind is already made up. Lucio and I have it figured out. You said it yourself, you would never ask your men to do something you wouldn't do yourself. Well, this is me stepping up.”

I looked at Luka and Arturo. Luka stepped up. “Nick, we can't ask you to do that.”

“He’s right.” Arturo chimed in.

“You’re not. Look, I knew what happened with Elena. I have felt guilty all these years, all these years I could have tried to do something and just did nothing. Let me do this. I can go in and find Charlie, help other girls get out, and gather intel. With or without your blessing, I am doing this.” He looked at me.

“Your mind is made up?” I asked. He nodded. I sighed and shook my head. “Fine, but if it gets bad, you promise me you will get out!”

He nodded. “I promise.”

I shook my head. “What's your plan?”

“Day after the ceremony I go. Lucio and I have been talking, he has guys on the inside, and they can get me in.” He grabbed my arms. “I know what I’m doing.”

I shook my head. “I sure as hell hope you do.”
