“I’m the luckiest man in the whole world,” he says, holding me tightly before he kisses me all over.

I laugh when he does, and finally, he reluctantly lets me go so we can sit down again. He picks up the menu and scans the contents but shakes his head.

“I can’t even think straight right now,” he said. “I don’t think I can eat right now.”

“Let’s order the chef’s special,” I suggest with a giggle. “That way, it’s full circle. Just like that night.”

“Perfect,” he says, closing his menu.

And he’s right; itisperfect. That night, a lifetime ago, we were saying goodbye. Now, we’re building the rest of our lives together.

And I don’t have to have a crystal ball to know it’s going to be a good one.
