His eyes closed as she hugged him. “I make good money. I just wanted you to know to use it for whatever.”

“I won’t. My father set up a trust that takes care of the house until we sell it. That includes utilities, repairs, renovations, food, and salaries for the staff. Everything. My father didn’t want to leave anything out.”

“I can still contribute to something.”

“The trust is over a billion dollars, and it grows daily. We’ve never had to use the principal because the interest is more than enough.”

He swallowed. Hell, he knew her family was rich, but being a billionaire was a shock for him.

“Are you okay with everything?” she asked.

“Yes, it’s just a lot to take in.”

“I know. I’m sorry. Is it possible for you to manage the security staff for the house and the property? Jessup doesn’t want to deal with it since he doesn’t know anything about security. I can try to do it if you don’t want to.”

He snorted. “I’ll take it on. Who’s in charge now?”

“Mr. Mitchell, but he and his wife are moving closer to their daughter because she’s having a baby.”

“I’ll set up a meeting with him,” Zachary said.

“When you’re ready to furnish your office, you could look up in the attic. There are so many things up there from furniture, knickknacks, and pictures. I think there might be an old desk, but if you decide you want it, it will take several guys to bring it down. I think it weighs about four hundred pounds.”

“I’d love to look through it sometime. I like the idea of using your family’s heirlooms.”

“I love the idea, too,” she said. “But you have to remember this is your family, too. I know we’re not married, but we are together forever, right?”

“Hell, yes. You’re stuck with me, and we’ll eventually get married and have children.”

“Good. I’d love to have several. I got lonely being an only child.”

“We can have as many as you want.”

She giggled. “Even if I want ten?”

He snorted. “Yes, even then. We’ve got plenty of people around who will help us with them.”

He wasn’t expecting that. He was thinking more like three to five children, but he’d give them to her if she wanted more. He would do anything to make this woman happy.

“Do you want to use the other office to start ordering things you need since you lost it all in the fire?”

“Yes, I’ll do that, but I also want to talk to Mr. Mitchell today.”

“You can call him up to the office if you’re short on time. The house numbers are on the phone in my office. We’ll get you set up with one, too.”

“No, I brought work home. I’ll be able to do that quite a bit which will be nice. I don’t like the thought of you away from me.”

“I don’t either. I’m going to put some of my clothes I got today in the closet we’re using until our suite is done.”

“What time is dinner?”

“It’s usually eight, but you can change it. It doesn’t matter to me.”

“That’s late.”

“Yes, we tried to wait until my mother got home, and it was always late.”

“I’m going to change it to six. I want time alone with you before we go to bed.”
