Conan was a very charming guy and very good in bed.

We sat on the couch talking for a bit. I told him about my job in the NBA and how women were treated. I let out my frustrations of the sexist community of men I seemed to work with. He was a great listener and instead of blowing me off like a lot of guys did, he really seemed to sympathize with me.

He told me all about the bar in his family and how his great grandpa opened it. His grandpa ran it and then his dad and now him. His dad was retired. I asked him if maybe he felt forced into it but he’d shrugged his shoulders and told me it was something he always wanted to do. He loved it.

We were both used to late nights with him running a bar and me at games. I yawned, unable to hide it anymore.

He stood up and led me back to the bedroom as the sun was starting to peek on the horizon. “We should go to bed.” He winked and I couldn’t help but laugh and agree.

“Yes,” I nodded. “Bed is a good idea.”

Back in his bedroom, we didn anything but sleep. He quickly stripped off my t-shirt and was going down on me again before flipping me over and taking me from behind. After wringing about three more orgasms from me, we finally dozed off.

I woke up before he did, around noon. I watched him sleep for a bit and my heart squeezed in my chest. I could easily find myself falling for Conan but now just wasn’t the time. Plus, he’d made it very clear more than once, he had no interest in any kind of relationship.

I laid there for another fifteen minutes before managing to slide out of bed. I took my clothes and dressed quickly after I ordered an Uber. I prayed he’d stay sleeping, and avoid the awkward conversation about what happened and what it meant.

I made it out of his apartment and to the street where his Uber was waiting. I closed the car door and sighed. I was exhausted and sore, grateful to have nothing going on the rest of the weekend. As the car took off from the curb, I opened my phone, seeing a million texts from Allison and Victoria.

I told them to be at my place for dinner, bring a pizza, and I’d give them all the dirty details.

The next few weeks went by in a blur. We had the roughest part of our schedule with mostly away games and a couple of back to backs. Luckily I would be back in town in time for St. Patrick’s Day. Victoria loved to go out and drink green beer and I sorely needed a girls night out after being away so long.

I didn’t hear from Conan at all, although I didn’t expect to when I didn’t leave him my number. I thought about him way more than I should, especially when I was alone at night in the hotel. My fingers often found their way between my legs, remembering how he felt. I may have even cried out his name a time or two when I came.

We met at Victoria’s apartment for a quick dinner and pre-drinks. She ordered us an Uber. I assumed she would be taking us to her usual haunts but I gasped when we pulled up to Murphy’s.

“What the fuck? Why are we here?” I turned to glare at her smug smile.

“This was all her idea,” Allison was quick to add. “I had nothing to do with it.”

“Number one, what better bar to be in on St. Patty’s Day than an authentic Irish pub. Number two, I think you like Conan and maybe you guys should talk. Number three, I had fun here and liked it, so I wanted to come back.”

“You just liked the free drinks,” I muttered as we got out of the car. Maybe Conan wouldn't be here. That was unlikely considering this was his bar and it was probably one of his busiest days - if not the busiest. I’d stay away from the bar and hope he would be too busy with all of his customers to even notice me.

Allison came next to me and hooked her arm with mine. “It’ll be okay. We’ll hide in the corner.”

I gave her a smile. “Thanks.” I took a deep breath. “Well here goes nothing.”

CONAN

Iloved St. Patrick’s Day. It was like the Super Bowl of the Irish and I usually made quite a bit of money. We had opened at eleven and had been packed ever since. If the fire marshal came, I’d probably get busted for having too many people in here.

I was thankful for the busy day. It would distract me from the brown-haired beauty that had been haunting my dreams for the past two weeks. I couldn’t stop thinking about Rebecca and missing her in my bed. I found myself disappointed that she had snuck out when I was sleeping and hadn’t left her number or any other way to get in touch with her.

I had some connections in the NBA and thought about reaching out to them to get her number but if she snuck out without giving it to me, she didn’t want me to have it. That was cool though too. We both said we didn’t want anything serious.

So why couldn’t I stop thinking about her?

I was helping a customer when Mickey came over and smacked me on the arm. “Hey boss, isn’t that the girl that was here a couple of weeks ago?” He nodded towards the door and I turned around, completely ignoring their drink order.

In walked Rebecca, looking hotter than ever. She was wearing tight skinny jeans that hugged that ass of hers and a green tank top with a jean jacket over it. Her long hair was back in a high ponytail and I had visions of taking it in my hand while she sucked my cock. I found myself getting hard just thinking about it.

She looked over at the bar and we made eye contact. I winked at her and she gave me a smile but then turned her attention back to her friends.

I turned back to the customers I’d been helping, pretending seeing her didn’t bother me more than it did.
