He leans against the back of a bench. “I thought you didn’t want to be the heir.”

I shrug. “Formalities, Khazzie.”

“Stop calling me that.”

My brows pull together. “Tell your girlfriend to not call me trash. Thanks for coming to my aid, by the way.”

He cocks a brow. “You need me now? You’re a grown ass woman, fight your own battles.”

I scoff, looking up at him. “Are you really that pissed I left?”

He shakes his head. “Fuck no. Why would I? I don’t care what you do. Leave again. I might even get paid to get your dumbass again.”

I scoff. “My ass is very smart. Thank you very much. Don’t let Miya find out that you’re talking about my ass.”

He glares at me. “Just stay out of my way and stay away from Ledger. You’re already getting him in trouble.”

My brows pull together as I look up at him. “Huh?”

He rolls his eyes. “Ledger fought with Inarian. Both got into trouble.”

My brows pull together. “Why would he do that?”

Khazon shrugs. “He wants pussy. I don’t fucking know. Maybe he just fought him to fight him. But if I find out it’s because you hurt your little hand on Inarian, I’m gonna be pissed. My hellhounds are in line before you.”

I scoff. “Fuck you, dick! I’ve been here for one day; I promise it’s not because Ledger wants me. He does want me, though. Lots of men do.”

He steps closer, jaw tightening. “And you are proud of that? You are proud that you used to get half naked for money?”

I cock a brow. “No, but I’m not ashamed either. You can’t make me feel ashamed for being comfortable with stuff you men do either way. I make money from men who willingly come and watch me. It’s not on me that they showed up.”

“It’s about respect.”

“To whom? Because I respect myself, and I’m so much more comfortable in my body and with my skills, Khazzie,” I say. “Check yourself. You’re acting like my boyfriend.”

He stares down at me. Although he’s not a hellhound, he’s at least a foot above me and still, I smirk up at him. “Don’t call me—”

“Khazzie. Got it, Khazzie. I’ll see you around!” I push him back and wave him off just as a group of people come out of the doors. It’s time to go to the next class.

I spend the next four classes alone with no one I know, and I don’t care to talk to anyone. During last period the lady from the office, Miss Shay, drops off the key to my dorm and the room number.

The campus is set up with the academy front and center with the mess hall to the left side of it. The academy is filled with training fields, then it’s all four of the dorms arching around the academy and ending with the library.

I slide my key into the door when I make it to my room in the reaper dorms as a few jock-looking reapers pass, all eyeing me. I hear their whispers about my ass. I roll my eyes, opening the door. The dorm looks like a suite with a small living room and kitchen area. There are four doors, two on each side of the room.

I move to the other room on the right-hand side. The room inside is a pretty decent size with a full-size bed, dresser, and desk. I throw my bag down before pulling out my phone. The Shadow World has service, but Hell does not. I can’t even call my father to see how he is.

I pull up my brother’s name, Killian, and text him.

Me: What are you up to?

He answers almost instantly.

Kill: Aw, does the future Queen of Hell have no friends?

I smirk. The cocky bastard.

Me: You know, I was just checking in on my little brother.
