Ledger grumbles something, eating his food.

I lock eyes with Hazen. I can lie and say Hazen is ugly, but he’s not. His hair is cut similar to Ledger’s with the sides shaved, but Hazen has a curly mohawk hanging down from the top and back. His golden tan skin compliments his gray eyes. He has a few piercings, one in his nose, three spikes at the top of each of his ears and plugs through his stretched ears. His body is just as huge and wide as Ledger’s and the other hellhounds.

Hazen holds out his hand. “Nice to you, Heir.”

I take his hand, glancing down as his magic shocks me but not enough to make me pull away. “Electric or lightning hound?” I question.

“Technically, both,” he says with a smirk, flashing his canine teeth.

Oh, bite me please. I clamp my thighs shut.

“As you can see,” Ledger says, making me pry my eyes from Hazen. “Hazen is desperate.”

The hound named Gibby snorts. “For pussy.”

“For a Soul Reaper,” Ledger finishes, growling passively.

I nod. Lucky for me. I catch a look with one of the hounds walking by. He looks the same as he did yesterday. He rolls his lime-green eyes and keeps walking to his spot in the corner. “And Jigsaw?” I question out loud.

Hazen lets out a chuckle. “Saw wants to be on no one’s team, but he and I are actually good friends.”

I turn back, cocking a brow.

He touches his heart through his jacket. “I don’t lie.” His eyes fall on my jacket. “Hey, isn’t that—”

Amos cuts in at the right time. “Move over, mountains.” Hazen moves over a seat, laughing, and now Amos is sitting across from me.

“Who said you can sit with us?” Ledger teases.

She sends him a glare. “She was my friend first. You can move, lover boy.”

Ledger lets out a chuckle, hand brushing my hip. “Whatever, Grim.”

I snort, shaking my head. “We are off topic.” I lean over to Hazen. Ledger a bit to get close enough. I can tell by the hard-on he sports that he doesn’t care. “Talk to Saw for me?”

Hazen nods.

Ledger let out a noise. “Really, him, though? He’s…”

“Toxic,” Gibby says.

“Asshole,” Benson adds.

“Hot,” Amos concludes, making me smile.

Ledger makes another noise.

I lean into him and whisper, “Your jealousy is showing.”

He growls. Will Ledger beat up Jigsaw if he becomes my hound?

Hazen snorts. “That’s why he punched that ice hound.”

“Shut it,” Ledger snaps. He grows warm against my side.

I let out a laugh. “So, it wasn’t because he was an asshole, huh?”

“He is, though,” he says, looking away. He’s probably regretting letting me sit with his friends, but we seem to have a lot of fun teasing and joking around.
