“No! You left because you knew you would never be half the soul reaper as me and half the king as your father.”

“Fuck you! You know nothing about me.”

His jaw ticks as he glares at me again. “Is the only reason you are here to sleep with hellhounds?”

“You know nothing about me.”

“Answer me.”

Ledger tries to intervene, but Khazon shoots him a look.

I scoff. “I don’t answer to a low value brand Angel of Death. You think you’ll ever amount to your father? You think all of this worthless training will ever prepare you to take over what your father does? You’re pathetic!”

“Me? I would never leave because my duties became too much. You’re pathetic! You are no one. Hell is endangered because you’ll be the Queen. You’ll just abandon everyone, and hell will fall under your—”

Crack!

A gasp runs through the air as I slap him. He could have blocked it, but he didn’t. The gasp brings me back to reality and I glance around, seeing a crowd has formed because of him. My jaw tightens and before he could say another insult, I’m moving to the dorm.

“Asura,” Ledger calls, following me. He tries to grab me and pull me back to him, but I don’t let him.

He follows me to the front of the dorm, where I hear Hazen’s voice somewhere behind me. “Are you okay?” Hazen asks.

I growl, moving into the dorm building. I half expected them not to follow me, but they do. All the way to my room and even inside of it.

Pacing, I slam the dorm room after Hazen entered it. “Who the fuck does he think he is?”

“Who?” Hazen asks, out of the loop. He was probably just walking past and saw us.

“Khazon!” I snap, twisting to him.

He looks down at me, eyes filling with… concern. He caresses my cheek ever so softly that it gets me to stiffen. “Did he do this to you?”

I’m assuming there’s a bruise on the cheek that Khazon punched. I’m not used to someone being so soft and gentle with me… like I’m fragile.

“I am not fragile.” I slap away his hand. “I’m not weak.”

He holds up hands and begins shuddering. “N-No. You are—I never said—” He looks like he felt bad that he offended me but he really didn’t offend me. Something in me switches with him being all flustered. I smirk, running my palm up his chest to the side of his neck. “Look how flustered I make him, Ledge.”

“He’s speechless… That’s a first,” Ledger mutters.

Smirking, I grip Hazen’s shirt and guide him to sit on the chair. The whole time, our eyes never leave each other. I straddle him like I did at the party, putting my finger under his chin and lifting it up to me. “I am not weak.”

His Adam’s apple bobs before he speaks, “You are not weak. Confusing, but not weak.”

I lick my lips before leaning in and softly pressing our lips together. His lips shock me softly, but I don’t pull back. I want more.

Hazen’s breath hitches and his hands run up my back. I deepen the kiss, flicking my tongue across his lips. He groans, letting me in, and I take my time, tasting and exploring his mouth.

Ledger’s warmth dances across my shoulders and back as he glides a finger along my spine. “Asura, you just got beaten and—”

I pull away, taking off my shirt and I pull him into a hot and heavy kiss. At first, he wants to pull away, but instead kisses me back. My hands explore his body, searching for all the soft spots that turn him on.

Hazen’s huge hand grabs at my breasts and I arch into his touch.

“She needs to be really wet before she can even think about taking us,” Ledger teases, pulling back.

Yes. I want to forget how Khazon made me feel. All weak and less than him. Hazen makes me feel soft, even if I don’t want to be. I need more of him.
