That made me laugh.

“Man, that shit was sogood.”He fell back against the bed.

“I know.”

When I climbed off him, I lay on his chest, and he wrapped his arm around me.

“I have to tell you, being a CEO ain’t all it’s cracked up to be.”

He chuckled. “Yeah? You only had the job four days, and you quitting already?”

“Yes. My fingers hurt so much, and everybody just kept calling. Like, your freaking phone never stopped ringing.” My eyes started to get heavy.

“Did you learn something, though?”

“Yes. I learned a lot. And I am so glad that my family business is small, but successful because, I couldn’t imagine trying to run that many B&B’s.My head would spin around.” I yawned. “I am going to go to sleep.”

“Goodnight, Princess.”

* * *

When I wokeup the next morning, the sun was shining through the glass. Dymon’s side of the bed was empty. Throwing the covers back, I climbed out of the bed to go relieve myself. Sometime over in the night, Dymon decided that he needed another snack and woke me up with a tongue lashing. After he got his fill, hecleaned me up and told me to go back to sleep.

After I was done using the bathroom, I threw on a robe to go and findDymon because I was starving. I’d walked all over the house until I saw the door to his office closed.I walked in the door, getting ready to greet him, when I got the shock of my life.

“Oh my God.”

I hurried and closed my robe before backing out of his office. My heart raced asI darted back to our room and closed the door.I wished the sky would crack open and suck me up.

“Oh my God. Oh my God,” I mumbled to myself as I paced the floor.

Moments later, there was a knock on the door, and Dymon walked in.

“See how that works. Now my father has seen mostly everything that belongs to me.” He laughed.

“Dymon, now is not the time to be joking, okay? I am seriously mortified right now. I mean… I’ve been staying here for the lastmonth, and we’ve never had an impromptu visitor.” I pulled the robe tighter as if I couldstillfeel his father’s eyes on me.

“It’s alright, ma.It’s only as awkward as you make it. It was dark in there, so he barely saw anything. I promise.”

“You are just trying to make me feel better, Dymon,” I hissed.

He chuckled. “I am.He saw everydamnthing.”

I covered my face. “Oh, God.”

“You want to meet him?”

My eyes widened. “I hadn’t even washed my face or brushed my teeth. My hair is all over my head, and Dymon, I can’t. Oh my God.”

“Good. I wasjust joking. Ijustlike seeing you flustered. It’s cute.”

“Wait. Why is he here? Is everything okay?”

“Yeah.”

“That didn’t sound convincing.”

He kissed my forehead and left me in the room.

I didn’t know what else I had to do to get him toopen upto me about his family. He talked to me about everything, but that.I hardly knew anything about him. How could he love me when he didn’t trust me? Most importantly, how could I love him, when I knew nothing about him?
