Dymon Danger

One Week Later

Looking over the computer, I glanced at Quinci, who sat at her deskwith herAirPodsin her ear bobbing her head to whatever music she was listening to—probably someR&B ass nigga. I learned that her favorite brand of music was dudes begging and girls singing about being in love.

Things between us seemed to change weekly and my feelings for her were growing into something I couldn’t quite understand just yet.It was why I couldn’tbelieve what I was getting ready todo and didn’t feel bad about it.Looking back at the computer, I read over the emailthat I was getting ready to press send on.

Team,

It is Friday, and looking at some of the things that you all have done this week and last week in my absencehas amazed me.You all have been working so hard, thatI have decided to reward you all with the rest of the evening off (paid).

…this is not a joke.

…go before I change my mind.

See you all bright and early on Monday morning. You should be well-rested since you will have an extra evening to yourself.

Best,

DymonDanger.

Moments later, Quinci burst into my office with a weird look on her face.

“Mr. Dymon, is everything okay?”

“Yes. Get Bernard and tell him to meet us in the garage in fifteen minutes.”

She smiled. “Yes, sir.”

Opening the Kog system, I looked at all the messages that were popping up. Everybody was in each other’s chat boxes trying to figure out what the hell was going on.

WTF!

THERE HAS TO BE A BOMB IN THE BUILDING.

HOLY SHIT.

HE HAD TO GET THAT ONE LAST JAB IN!

GUYS, I DON’T KNOW WHAT TO DO!

HE IS BEING HELD HOSTAGE.

FIRST, JEANS. NOW, AN EVENING OFF.

“BEST.” HE’S NEVER SAID BEST.

I thought it was a little funny and sadat the same time thatthey wouldn’t believe that I’d say something like that. My desk phone rang, and I saw that it was reception.

“Dymon.”

“Um…” Her voice trembled. “Um… there was an email sent out, and we weren’t um…”

“Don’t say we…” I heard someone hiss in the background.

“We weren’t sureif that message was supposed to go to everybody.”

“Yes. That message was for everyone.I’m going to change my mind.”
