He walked in step with her, the scent of her perfume making it difficult to keep his hands off her voluptuous ass.

When they reached the front door, he suddenly craved a cigarette. Delphi seemed oblivious of his plight and grinned at him.

“Too late to turn back,” she said, tugging on the door to the clubhouse.

Light streamed outside, cheery voices and laughter quickly following it. Brewer held his breath and stepped inside. Bringing a girl to dinner wasn’t abnormal for any of the club members, but he rarely brought anyone who wasn’t already part of Macha.

“There’s Brewer,” Hawk said, tipping back a bottle of beer. “I was about to take over your duties.” He grinned when Delphi came into view. “But I can see why you took so long.”

“Kevlar was babysitting the smoker for me,” he replied, offering a beer to Delphi. She grabbed it, staying close beside him. The sweet scent from her perfume overtook him once more. In the truck there’d been a barrier, but now with her flush against him, the fruity mangos suddenly made him crave more than the fruit.

“You should probably go check on it,” Hawk said, his dark eyes scanning Delphi.

Brewer had seen that perusal many a time before. His brother wasn’t subtle in ogling women, and from the looks of it, Delphi caught wind of it.

“Take a picture, it’ll last longer,” she said, twisting the top off the beer and taking a drink.

Hawk chuckled and held up his hands in defeat. “All right, I get it. You’re set on one Macha man.” He took a step closer, and Brewer resisted the urge to deck him. “But if you get bored of this one or want to try two brothers, call me up. I’ll make sure you don’t forget a night with me.”

Delphi’s eyes flicked to him, then back to Hawk. “Are you always so forward with women one of your brothers brings to the clubhouse?”

Hawk smirked. “Yes, ma’am. Even stolen a few.”

She snorted. “Not this one.”

Brewer beamed with pride and grabbed Delphi’s arm, leading them further into the clubhouse. They passed the dining area, where Isa was setting the table as Doc was trying to stop his very pregnant old lady from overexerting herself.

He paused in the doorway. “Don’t make me call in the big guns, cousin.”

Isa scowled at him, but it quickly morphed into a smile when she noticed Delphi. “When will you Macha men stop micromanaging?”

Doc crossed his arms over his chest. “Isa, you know full well none of Macha’s men can micromanage their old ladies.” He nodded at Delphi. “Nice to see you again.”

Setting down the last plate, Isa walked—more of a waddle than a walk, from Brewer’s perspective—and clasped Delphi’s free hand. “So glad you’re here for dinner. Brewer is the smoking aficionado.”

Delphi smiled politely. “He more or less dragged me here, but I’m starving and couldn’t resist.”

“That’s how they get you.” Isa laughed, her eyes twinkling. “People always say diamonds are a girl’s best friend, but they’re wrong. It’s food.”

“Amen, sister,” a new voice chimed in as Dolly walked into the room, her typical tank top with Macha stamped on it exposing her toned, tattooed arms. “I don’t believe we’ve met yet.” She held out her hand. “I’m Dolly, Brewer’s little sister.”

Delphi cast a curious glance at him before shaking hands. “Nice to meet you. Brewer didn’t mention he had a sister.”

Three sets of stunning eyes latched on to Brewer. Doc clapped him on the shoulder and slipped past him. “Good luck.”

He swallowed, the beer bubbling in his throat. “Probably because my sister is so nosy, I half expected her to track you down and force you to listen to all our horrible childhood stories.”

Dolly flipped him both middle fingers, then shrugged. “Actually, yeah, that does sound like me.” She linked her arm through Delphi’s. “Come on. I’ll introduce you to the club. My brother has dinner to attend to.”

Brewer wanted to argue, but she was right. He’d left Kevlar on pork duty almost two hours earlier. It was high time he got back to make sure the damn pig wasn’t burned to a crisp. “If you’re all right with it.”

Delphi took another drink and rubbed her lips together. She was nervous, but not shy. He knew she could hold her own within Macha. It was part of what drew him to her. “I think I can handle a little one-on-one time with your sister and the club.”

He met Dolly’s gaze. They both heard the undercurrent to her words. While his sister didn’t know the whole truth behind Delphi’s parentage, she’d corner him later to uncover any information he was willing to part with. The rest of the club knew about Shovelhead and Delphi. It was why she was there.

“Have fun. I’ll check on you in a few.”

A hint of worry flashed across Delphi’s beautiful face, but she quickly recovered before Dolly led her toward the rest of the clubhouse.
