The blood in Delphi’s veins cooled at the sound of the familiar yet unwelcome male voice. She turned her head and held in a gasp at sight of the biker standing mere feet away. “Grant, what the hell are you doing here?”

The Cutthroat with bleach-blond hair waved his three brothers into the room. “I’m here for you, baby.” He grinned, but it was anything but friendly. “You’ve had those pesky Macha bikers swarming around you lately. I almost thought you converted to the good boy side of the MC.” His brown eyes dipped to her robe, and she rushed to cover up her silky pajamas underneath. “Either you knew I was coming, or you were hoping that redhead was on his way.”

Delphi swallowed the bile in her throat. “Fuck off, Grant. You and I are not together. Why can’t you leave me alone?”

He sauntered toward her, his leather pants creaking with his movements. “Because I know someone you don’t.” He stood in front of her now. “It’s about your daddy issues.”

Her eyes whipped to his face. “What are you talking about?”

“I know who your bastard dad is.”

“Grant—”

He flipped her coffee table over, glass shattering on the floor. “For fuck’s sake, Delphi, you know my name’s Granite.”

She bit the inside of her cheek. His temper wasn’t something she’d forgotten. It was ingrained in her memory. If she sassed him too much, she wasn’t so certain what he’d do. The Grant she knew in high school was gone. This biker had replaced him. From their last run-in, she definitely didn’t want to know the new Grant.

“I’m sorry. I forgot.”

The anger on his face waned, and he nodded. “Good. Now, let’s go.” He grabbed her by the arm, and she cried out at the strength in his grip. “My club has information you want.”

“Macha has the same information,” she stonewalled. When that didn’t entice a response from him, she added, “Brewer is on his way here right now.”

Granite clenched his jaw and pulled her to his chest. Cigarette smoke and tequila lingered on his breath, and she tried not to gag. “Are you his old lady?”

She worried her lips together, uncertain how to answer. Technically, she wasn’t, but Brewer claimed her as his every chance he got. “Um—”

“That’s a no.” Granite sneered. “Let’s get out of here before your Macha boy tries to save you.”

“I’m wearing pajamas.”

Granite narrowed his gaze. “Stop stalling. I don’t give a shit what you’re wearing. You can borrow one of my shirts when we get back to Waverley.” He pinched her ass. “Now, get going before I change my mind and make you get dressed in front of my brothers here.”

Delphi’s eyes darted to the other men in the room. Each one wore a crude smile. She immediately wished she could transport herself somewhere else. “I’ll wait.”

“Good girl.” He kissed the top of her head. “Smells like sunshine and French food.”

“Can I at least grab some shoes?”

The rumble of a bike outside snapped Granite out of whatever patience he had left. “Not today.” He hoisted her over his shoulder, and Delphi noticed a gleam of metal in his open hand. “Don’t squirm too much, or you might get shot.”

Delphi punched Granite in the back, and he chuckled darkly. “Girl, keep it up, and I’ll set the club on your plump ass. More than one would like to sample a piece of you.”

Shivers ran down her spine at the threat. As bad as she wanted to escape, she couldn’t.

When they stepped outside, a cool drizzle met her exposed legs. She craned her neck, trying to see if Brewer was there yet. Granite hurried across the lawn, bouncing her uncomfortably as he did. It wasn’t until she was strapped to him on the back of his bike that Brewer’s worried face caught her attention.

He stood at the restaurant entrance, scouring the surroundings for her.

“Brewer!” she screamed before Granite reared back and smacked her across the face. “Shut up, you bitch.”

“Delphi!”

She opened her mouth to yell again, but Granite revved his engine, and the Cutthroats zoomed passed Brewer before he could hop on his bike. She couldn’t ignore the three shots fired at him, but when she looked over her shoulder, Delphi sighed when she spotted Brewer fully intact.

“Why couldn’t you just tell me about my dad?” she yelled over the hum of the bike.

“Because your daddy wants to meet you, and I want to fuck you.”
