“So, you’re not disappointed?”

Doc laughed. “Nah, brother. Isa and our baby girl keep me on my toes. I have a feeling Isa’s going to surprise me with another kid soon. I’m happy to be second.”

Relief coursed through Brewer. He’d always thought the presidency was Doc’s birthright. As it turned out, it was his instead.

Rubble and Kevlar were equally pleased to be among the cabinet.

“We all knew Rubble would get it. Until another badass comes along, you’ll always be sergeant,” Kevlar said good-naturedly.

Rubble clapped Kevlar on the back. “And you get to manage the money. I’m not sure if I should cry or laugh.”

Kevlar flipped off Rubble, but the men were too excited to fight. Brewer was happy to let them. This was what he’d always wanted. A place within Macha not just for bragging rights, but to make a difference. With his brothers at his side, Brewer knew their future was bright.

Dolly’s smiling face greeted him after the new cabinet took shots of whiskey.

“You did it, big brother.” She lightly punched him. “I’m proud of you.”

He kissed the top of her head. “And I’m going to be reviewing those bylaws about women in the club I can’t lose you, sis.”

She hugged him. “You won’t. My girl’s kinda stuck on Snowshoe, so I’ll be around town somewhere.”

Brewer smiled over at Yasmina, grateful that his sister found happiness through the club.Macha always provides. It’s what his dad used to say, and Brewer finally realized what it meant.

Making his way through the loud crowd, Brewer found Delphi chatting with Isa and Nikita. The sight of her holding Isa’s baby made his heart swell. Someday, they’d have their very own Macha brood, but not yet. He wanted her all to himself for a few years. He’d waited his whole life to find someone as sweet, stunning, and sassy as Delphi. He could wait to share her.

“Hey, there you are, Mr. President.” Delphi beamed at him and handed off the baby to Isa. “Want me to reenact that Marilyn Monroe bit?”

Brewer chuckled, tucking her under his arm. “Not tonight, but plan on it for my birthday. For now, I wanna show you something.”

Delphi’s left brow cocked. “Oh, yeah? What’s that?”

Guiding her away from the hubbub of celebration and music, Brewer waited until they were outside to pull a sheet of paper from his pocket. “Open it.”

Taking the paper, she slowly unfurled it, a smile never leaving her cute face. Reading the contents, she looked up at him. “I don’t understand. What is this?”

“I thought it was pretty obvious. All in black-and-white, spelled out.”

“It says you bought a piece of land.” Her eyes darted to the words, then back to him. “Right next to my restaurant.”

Taking her hand in his, Brewer knelt, and Delphi’s eyes bugged. “Calm down, I’m not asking that question.” She seemed somewhat relieved until he added, “Yet.”

Meeting her gorgeous eyes, Brewer kissed the top of her hand. “Delphi, I wanna build a life with you. Since I’m president now, there’s gonna be a ton of time spent at the clubhouse, and of course you have your restaurant, and I don’t want you to feel like you have to choose one over the other.” He cleared his throat. “So, I bought a piece of land for us. You can design the house however you want, and it’ll be our spot. Not the club’s, not the restaurant’s, but ours. And maybe in a few years, we’ll start a family, and they can grow up there, in between our two passions.”

Tears raced down Delphi’s cheeks. “Are you serious?”

“Always with you, sweet cheeks.”

Delphi knelt and kissed him so hard he almost lost his balance. “I’ll take that as a yes.”

“I love you, Brewer.”

He pushed back the hair from her face, this woman more important to him than life itself. “I love you, Delphi. Now, let’s go make this night one to remember.”

Pulling her to her feet, Brewer didn’t mind one bit when his lady led him in the direction of his room instead of the bustling party in the clubhouse. With her, every day was a celebration.
