No, I don’t think so.
She may be beautiful and, hell, she may even be smart, but she doesn’t know how to get the job done.
I am not giving up on tutoring. If that’s what it takes to get me back to my extra practices and back in good standing with the team, then I’ll do it.
But I will not be doing it the Lennon Neil way.
Am I being stubborn? Maybe. But she was just as stubborn as me. And that’s a recipe for disaster. I need someone bendable. Malleable. Someone who will take a note.
Lennon is not that tutor.
Where are the real nerds, anyway? The ones with the glasses? The braces? The stereotypical ones that you don’t want to stare at and who don’t have berry pink lips and blue eyes and hot girl hair and wear tight polo shirts so you can see their perfect tits?
Okay, I admit it.
Lennon is hot.
Distractingly hot.
Beautifulandhot, which is a bad combination.
And it’s extremely risky of her to be dressing like that and looking like that in front of a bunch of athletes all day. If she were my girl, we would have to change that.
Good God.
This is why I cannot be around this woman.
After only a few minutes, I am picturing myself in a committed relationship with her. She’s worse for my career than any failing grade.
I told myself a very long time ago that I would not let women be a factor until after I reach the NFL. And even then, I am going to play it very smart.
I have seen too many guys get stupid over women and throw away their careers.
They get heartbroken and miss the winning score.
They knock some girl up and can’t go off to play ball for the college they always wanted to play for.
They get arrested for getting in some drunken fight at a bar over a girl.
It’s too risky.
So, when I saw Lennon, and I felt that gotta-have-her feeling, I knew I needed to shut it down by whatever means possible.
