Allison thought it was interesting that his mind went to that so quickly. She wouldn’t have really thought of the stalker or she and Birch being together in Jackson being a ploy to further someone else’s career, but she hadn’t been in Hollywood her entire life like he had.
“Where are we going?” she asked.
“Apparently, Isaac’s brother, Luke Jewel, has a completely safe, paparazzi free island.”
Allison grinned despite all the angst inside. “Oh yeah, are you serious? I’ve been dying to get an invite there!” Abe and Rachel had met and fallen in love at that island. She wanted to see in real life the place their story had begun, and if it was the good Lord’s will, start a love story of her own with Birch.
He also cracked a smile. “Sadly, between your injured shoulder, a stalker, and now paparazzi coming after us, it won’t be much of a vacation.”
“Ah, don’t ruin my fun. That place is what dream vacations are made of, and I get to be with you.”
Birch’s smile turned tighter. Allison had an awful feeling that being with Birch in the way she wanted to was going to be nearly impossible.
