I clear my throat, drawing everyone’s attention to me. “He’s right. No one is failing. I’ll do what it takes to stay with you. I can call my sister and see what she can do.” We could stay with Violet in Alaska. Sapphire can keep Mom busy. My sisters would be pissed off if they knew what Mom was trying. I just don’t want Mom to know how badly she’s messing with me. It’s something that she’ll feed on. She gets pleasure from my pain.

“It’s probably best not to get more people involved,” Leo quips, getting to his feet. He shuffles around the desk and opens his arms, waiting for me to fall into them.

My body hums the second I do, the memory of our passion rushing over me, sending heat between my legs. Silence fills the room. I don’t even think any of my alphas are breathing. They watch Leo and me in curiosity, knowing that I took his knot first. It’s not awkward, but I can feel the intensity and anticipation coursing through each of them. The scent of my lust ignites theirs.

I uncontrollably whimper and close my eyes, taking a moment to compose myself. “Shit. I’m sorry. My body is a bit out of whack.”

“There’s nothing out of whack about that, Scarlett. It’s normal for a bonded alpha to set off their omega, especially when they expect their upcoming heat.” Adrian remains expressionless with his comment, acting as if me fucking Leo isn’t the huge deal it truly is. Because I know they all crave me now. More so than before. They can’t help it.

I nod my head and pull away from Leo, puffing a breath out my nose to ease the intensity of the cologne drawing me back to him. “I overheard Ezra mention me stopping the use of my suppressant lotion. I think I want to do that.”

I swallow my nerves, studying the various expressions crossing their faces—from lust to surprise and maybe an ounce of worry on Jonah’s face.

“If that’s what you want, then I support you fully.” Adrian stands up and strolls to me, hugging me next. “I don’t want you to think you have to because of the situation. Just know that.”

“I know,” I say, rubbing my hands over his cheeks, leaving my scent behind. “I want this. I want all of you. You’re my pack, and I’m ready. I’ve been ready for a while.”

The truth of my words hangs in the air. We all knew that my becoming their omega and wife also meant starting a family. I’ve always known the expectation and never wanted to fight against it, but it seems more important than ever. I don’t want to resist our natures. I find it incredibly thrilling to think about.

“Fuck yeah, my dirty girl. You don’t know how happy this makes me. You’re already mine, but damn. This will declare it to the world.” Leo spins me around, making me laugh.

The five of them surround me, engulfing me in a group hug that I can live in forever. I was afraid that my mom ruined things for us. I was afraid that the stress of everything would steal our joy. But it’s made us stronger. It brought us closer.

“Scarlett, I wanted to wait until I had the chance to plan something more extravagant, but I can’t wait any longer.” Adrian reaches into his desk and pulls out a crystal box from his top drawer. “As the leader of our pack, I want to declare our lives and future to you as our omega. We vow a lifetime of love, passion, joy, and protection to you. You’re a magnificent woman, and I will not live my life without you ever again. I love you. Will you accept our promise as your alphas?”

My heart flutters at the sight of the teardrop ruby I recognize from the boutique in San Francisco. I had no idea that Adrian bought it, and I tear up, burning trails of happiness down my cheeks.

I open and close my mouth, a whimper escaping as I struggle to find my words. “Yes. Absolutely, yes. I love you. I love all of you.”

This moment is proof that I’m my alphas’ omega. I’m the center of Pack Hart, and no one will change it.

Not my family. Not the world.

They are mine forever.

I’m theirs.

Unknown: Look to your right. I don’t want Ms. Sandy to see me, but I want to talk to you.

My heart sinks into my stomach at the text message from an unknown number. I whip my attention to the side alley leading to the dumpster beside Beach Brew. Chaz leans against the brick wall, wearing a hat and sunglasses as if it’s some kind of stealthy disguise.

I don’t move from my spot and tap the screen of my phone instead.

Me: You look like a creep. Please, just leave me alone. I’m busy. I have to get this done by tomorrow.

Unknown: Just five minutes. Give me five minutes, and I’ll leave you alone from now on.

I sigh and tuck my phone away.

“Amore, how incredible! Leo said you were talented, but this is extraordinary. Your reimagination of Starry Night is...wow.” Ezra’s booming voice startles me, and my soul nearly exits my body.

I flick my gaze to where Chaz last stood, but he vanishes like the stalker he is.

“And Fruit Basket? It’s magnificently morbid. I love it.” Ezra’s jasmine and bergamot fragrance floods over me with his arrival.

“You do?” I know that rotting fruit, showing off skulls beneath the flesh, isn’t exactly everyone’s cup of tea, but I thought it was fitting for the Halloween theme. I couldn’t wait to add ghosts and other creepy entities to starry night.

Ezra slides his hands around my waist, admiring the window mural from over my shoulder, his warm breath tickling the skin beneath my ear. “Absolutely. It’s fantastic.”
