Dominic wags his head softly. “No, it’s nothing to worry about, Lettie. I promise. Your mom asked for more money, claiming that our postponing of the wedding has caused unnecessary financial stress. It’s been taken care of. Leo breathes softly on my other side, but Ezra, Dominic, and Jonah have all left while I was asleep. I glance at the time on Adrian’s alarm clock, seeing that they headed out for their classes. And once again, it looks like I’m missing one of mine.
A warm hand slides across my waist, and I peer at Adrian as he smiles at me. “You didn’t get enough sleep last night. Lay back down, and I’ll cuddle you some more. Don’t worry about your morning class. It’s been canceled by your professor. Supposedly, the custodian needs to fix a broken pipe or something.” Adrian presses his lips together, suppressing his smile. “We can’t have a leak, now can we?”
I crinkle my nose, laughter bubbling from my lips. “Did you have something to do with it?”
He lifts and drops his shoulders. “One of the perks of knowing everyone on staff. Don’t worry. Nothing is actually broken. Now come here, Scarlett. You need to rest.”
The second his fingers dig into my skin, sending a rush of tingles through me, I roll on top of him, planting my hands on his chest. “I’m no longer tired.”
Leo groans, opening his eyes. “Damn, dirty girl. You going to show Adrian his place? Show him that he can’t tell you what to do. That shit turns him on.”
