“How about we shower and get some sleep and I promise to tell you my entire life’s story when we wake up—over breakfast?” he asked.

“You’ll make me breakfast?” she asked.

“Well, we both know that you’re a disaster in the kitchen, so yes, I’ll make breakfast. Maybe you can help and learn something for your class,” he offered.

“Well, I’ve just about got chopping an onion down, so I’m ready for the next lesson.” Taz had something he wanted to teach her, but it had nothing to do with food or a kitchen. He led her back to his master bathroom and turned on the water, letting it heat up as he took his time stripping her and kissing every inch of her curvy body.

“I thought you wanted to take a shower and get some sleep,” she reminded.

“Well, I thought that we could shower together,” he said. He tugged his shirt over his head and Kai ran her hands over his body.

“I don’t think that I’ll ever get tired of seeing you like this,” she whispered. He opened the glass shower door and helped her step into the hot spray. He was pretty sure that he’d never get tired of seeing her sexy body either. Taz finished stripping and joined her in the shower, pulling her against his body. He loved the way that the hot water made her body a bit slippery when she rubbed herself against him.

“You feel good,” she breathed.

“You do too, honey,” he whispered into her ear. “Hold onto me. This is going to be slippery.” He hoisted her up his body and she wrapped her legs around him, holding onto him as he ordered. Her boobs were the perfect level for his lips, and he sucked one of her nipples into his mouth as he slid his cock into her body, filling her in one thrust. He loved the way that she moaned and wrapped her legs tighter around his waist.

Taz pumped in and out of her body, taking what he needed from her, and judging from her breathy little sighs, she was getting everything she needed from him. When Kai came around his cock, he knew that he wasn’t going to last much longer. He pumped into her body a few more times and lost himself, shouting out her name. They stood like that in the shower, the hot spray of water covering their naked bodies, and he couldn’t think of a time that he felt any more content. He wasn’t sure how it had happened, but he had finally found a woman who made him want to stick around. He wanted tomorrow with her. Hell, he wanted next week, and even next month with her, and surprisingly, that thought didn’t scare the shit out of him.

Ryker walked into the kitchen looking madder than Taz had seen him in a damn long time. “Woman troubles?” Taz teased, feeling smug. He and Kai had been together for a week now and he didn’t have any woman troubles, so making fun of his boss’ felt right.

“Not for me, but you might want to take a look out in the dining room,” Ryker insisted. Taz dropped his spatula on the counter and walked to the kitchen door to peek out. Everything looked normal—people were enjoying their food and having a good time. He was about to turn around and tell his boss that he was losing his mind when he spotted that asshole Gabe sitting at the fucking bar, staring down Kai. Yeah, he had woman problems because he was going to have to kill an asshole for her.

“Shit,” Taz grumbled.

“Yeah, I thought you’d say that,” Ryker said. “Is he still the main suspect in the apartment break-in case?” he asked.

“Yes, but the cops won’t do anything about it because we don’t have any evidence. I’m not sure what we can even do about him being here,” Taz said.

Kai burst through the kitchen two-way door and looked about ready to either beat the shit out of someone or break down and sob. He hoped she was ready to fight because he was a mess when it came to crying women.

“I take it that you saw him out there then?” Ryker asked.

“I have and I asked him to leave. He said that he has every right to be there because he’s done nothing wrong. Then, he proceeded to lecture me about my wrongdoing in asking him on a date that I didn’t really want, just to make Taz jealous.”

“And you let him talk to you like that?” Taz asked.

“For a minute, because I still feel a bit guilty about what happened, but then I remembered what an asshole Gabe is, and I told him to go fuck himself.”

“That’s my girl,” Taz praised. “I’ll go out and tell him to get lost.”

“No,” Kai said, putting her hand on his chest. “That’s what he wants. He even asked if my new boyfriend was here tonight.”

“Boyfriend?” Taz asked.

“Well, I guess that’s what I’d call you. I mean, we are together, and you said you wanted to try the whole relationship thing with me, right?” she asked.

“I did, and I do,” he said.

“Then, that makes you my boyfriend,” Kai insisted, nodding her head. God, she was adorable.

“Okay, then, I guess that would make you my girlfriend,” he said.

“Yep,” she agreed.

“If you two are finished going over your new titles with each other, I think we need to think about how to handle this guy. If I go out there and throw him out, he’ll call the cops and we don’t need that kind of publicity around her,” Ryker grumbled. He was right. The place was packed every night and they were finally making some money on the restaurant side of the business. If Gabe called in the police to complain about unfairly being kicked out, they’d stand the chance of losing some customers, and he hated doing that to Ryker.
