Yep.He didn’t want to boast, so he left it at that. They texted back and forth for the better part of an hour when she once again asked that if he spoke with Archer again, to let him know that she’d like to talk to him too. It broke his heart that she had to beg him to relay information to her husband for her. This whole situation wasn’t fair to Gracie, but if Jon had his way, they’d both be making it up to her soon. All he had to do was get her to agree to meet with him and then, Archer’s plan just might work. His best friend was right about one thing, Gracie needed someone to be there for her and Jon was very willing to be that for her.

He promised to text her again tomorrow and this time, she didn’t make up some lie about having to meet up with friends. She openly agreed to the conversation and even said that she was looking forward to hearing from him. He just wished he could give her more than a few text messages, but for now, that was all he had to offer her.

“Wait, you want me to do what?” Jon paced the floor in front of the sofa where Archer sat. “I can’t ask your wife to just meet me at a hotel and have her wear that.” Jon pointed to the outfit that Archer had picked out for Grace and grew instantly hard just thinking about her wearing it for him—for them. Archer ran his hand over the black lace panties that were just as see-through as the matching bralette. The thigh-high stockings were Jon’s favorite, with the attachable garters and the hooker heals Archer chose, that would probably be the death of poor Grace. Arch topped off the outfit with a sexy black trench coat to hide Grace’s curvy body under.

“She’ll never go for it,” Jon barked. “She’ll never say yes to me. It’s only been a few weeks since you left her and now, you think she’ll just move on with your best friend?” Archer nodded.

“You two have history and have been texting back and forth for almost a week now,” Archer said. “She trusts you, Jon.”

“Oh no, don’t make it sound as if you had nothing to do with that, Arch. You’ve been there the whole time, telling me what to say to Gracie.” Jon crossed to the liquor cabinet that he kept in his living room and poured them both a drink. He had a feeling that he was going to need at least a double for this conversation.

“The point is, Grace seems receptive to the idea of seeing you again. She’s lonely and needs a friend,” Archer said. Jon didn’t miss the sadness on his best friend’s face. Since the night of their shared kiss, he and Archer hadn’t seen each other much. Archer was traveling a lot and they agreed that they wouldn’t do anything without Grace, it wouldn’t feel right. He just hoped like hell that Archer’s crazy plan worked because he wanted them both more with each passing day.

“All you have to do is suggest the hotel. If she says yes, I’ll handle all the details. It’s the only way to get her to go along with all of this,” Archer said motioning between the two of them. “We need to show her just how good it can be with the three of us and then if she says no, we’ll figure out a backup plan.” Jon drank down his scotch and poured himself another. If he agreed to do this, to make them both his, there would be no going back. Hell, he knew that he wouldn’t want to go back to just being Archer’s best friend and the poor sap that still mooned over his ex-girlfriend.

“If this doesn’t work out, I don’t know what I’ll do Arch,” Jon decided that coming clean was the best way to handle his riotous feelings. “I walked away once from the two of you and it was the hardest thing I’ve ever had to do.” Archer leaned back on the sofa and sipped his drink.

“We didn’t know if you were going to ever forgive us, Jon,” Archer admitted. If he was being honest, Jon didn’t know if he’d be able to remain friends with the two of them. When Grace chose Archer, it hurt like a son-of-a-bitch, but it wasn’t anything like having to walk away from Archer. He was the one who decided not to explore the life that Archer wanted with him. Jon worried about what everyone else would think and didn’t stop to consider what the two people that meant the most to him would want. Hell, he didn’t consider what he would want because if he had, he would have taken Archer up on his offer to put Gracie between the two of them in college. Maybe they wouldn’t be in the mess they were in now. Grace wouldn’t be lonely and afraid and Archer wouldn’t be sitting on his sofa, missing his wife. Everything was going wrong between the three of them and Jon worried that no amount of sexy lingerie and a crazy night of passion between the three of them, would be able to fix it.

“This will work Jon, it has to,” Archer whispered. “I can’t live without either of you, I’ve already proven that by marrying Grace and trying the whole best friend thing with you. You’re so much more than that to me, you always have been.” Jon swallowed past the lump in his throat and nodded.

“Thanks, Arch, I feel the same way. So, let’s text our girl and get this show on the road,” Jon said, pulling out his cell phone to text Grace.

Hey, sexy.He texted and sat down next to Archer to wait for Grace to text back.

Hey yourself.Grace texted back.

“Got her,” Archer barked and slapped him on the back. Jon just hoped that this worked because losing either of them wasn’t an option for him.
