“I love it,” she moaned. “Faster, Gray. Take me there.”
“Your wish is my command.”
I hooked my arms under hers and cradled the back of her head with my hands. I picked up my pace even more.
“I’m almost there, baby,” she panted. “Don’t stop.”
And I was right there with her.
After a few more strokes, she found her release, and I found mine shortly after. We rode our orgasms together as we slowly came down from our high.
I lay on top of her, careful not to put too much weight on her. It took me a moment to find my vision again but, when my eyes focused again, they found Jade’s blue-grey gaze first. Something was swimming behind her eyes, but I couldn’t make out what it was.
I pulled out of her and lay next to her, completely naked. After a few minutes, I moved to the closet and found the spare blanket I kept. All the while, she stared at me.
I covered her with the blanket and went to get under it, too. We lay side by side staring at each other. I had forgotten just how beautiful Jade Masters was. Her face was flushed, and her eyes were gleaming with that just-been-fucked glow.
I reached out and brushed away a strand of hair from her face. I used my fingers to brush the side of her face, causing her to close her eyes momentarily before they opened again when my touch had left her.
She looked like she wanted to say something but then she quickly decided against it. I could see the conflict swimming in her eyes, and I knew she needed a little nudge to help her.
“What do you need?”
I didn’t need to ask because I already knew. She wanted me to hold her. She was feeling vulnerable right now, and she didn’t know how to act or behave because she had just done something she thought she would never do again; we both did.
“Hold me?” Her voice came out meek and small, almost like that of a small child.
I opened my arms, and she scooted over, placing her head on my chest and her leg over my thighs. I enclosed her next to me and placed a gentle kiss on her head.
After a few minutes of silence, she finally spoke.
“Can I tell you a secret?”
“Mhmm.” I drew small circles on her naked back.
“I never want this to end.”
My movements stilled, having been caught off guard by her words.
“But I know that it will never go beyond these walls. Too much has happened between us for there ever to be hope for us in the future,” she continued.
I placed my fingers under her chin and forced her to look at me. “But we have right now.”
A ghost of a smile played on her lips. “We have right now.”
I leaned down and connected our lips in a soft and gentle kiss. Our lips continued to dance with one another until the soft kiss turned heated, and the next thing we knew, we were on to another round.
I had dipped my hand into the fire and there was no way I was coming out of it unscathed but right now I was throwing caution to the wind. I would deal with the consequences later.
