Chapter 14 - Gavin: Arthur

It had been two days since Danny became my girlfriend. Three days of blissful and passion-filled sex. No matter how many times we did it, I just couldn’t get my fill of her. I was addicted, and I didn’t want to go to rehab. If I had it my way, she would be in my bed all day long, naked and smiling that smile that had my heart doing summersaults.

I walked into the main house without knocking. Maddy and Marcus were back from their babymoon, and we could no longer have sex all over the house like we had been. I had fucked my girlfriend in every room in the house at least twice. We had been like horny little teenagers who couldn’t keep our hands off each other. I had wanted to stay with her during the night, but I knew I needed to go back to my own bed. She was still getting used to me, and I didn’t want to rush her. Sleeping without her had been hard, seeing as my body craved her touch.

“I look like a whale!” Maddy screeched from the kitchen, “Why can’t you just come out?”

I walked into the kitchen to find Danny by the stove frying up some bacon. Maddy had her hand in the fridge eating the leftover cake that Danny had made yesterday.

“Because she is stubborn like her mother,” Marcus called from the other room.

“Do you have a death wish, Anderson?”

“I’m kidding,” he called back.

I walked up to my beautiful girlfriend and kissed her on the lips, not caring that Maddison was in the room. At first, she stiffened against me, but then she melted into me, giving in to our connection. When I pulled away from her, I chanced a glance at Maddy and saw that her mouth was agape.

“Did you just…?” She pointed her fork at both of us.

“Yes, we did,” I circled my arms around Danny, kissing her bare shoulder. Her hair was a little damp, and she smelled like vanilla. She always smelled sweet, and I loved that.

She closed her mouth and smirked at us. “This was inevitable. But if you hurt my girl, Gavin, I will castrate you. I may be pregnant, but I am capable.”

I nuzzled my nose into Danny’s neck. “Believe me, I don’t plan on letting her go anytime soon. It’s a forever kind of thing.” Danny blushed and stared up at me. Her face was bare of any makeup, and her brown hair was in a messy bun on top of her head. She had never looked more beautiful to me.

“You finally got laid! I’m so happy I could cry or that could be gas." She ate a forkful of the cake that she was eating from the fridge. “That could also just be these damn hormones. I feel like a train wreck lately. I look like a train wreck, don’t I?”

“You look like the same gorgeous woman I married for money,” Marcus said coming in with Axel in his arms.

When Axel saw me, he reached for me. His little face split into a heartwarming smile that had my chest squeezing. I removed my arms from around Danny and moved to where Marcus stood. I grabbed the little guy from his uncle and took him into my arms.

“Hey, buddy.” I kissed his cheek. “How are you today?”

His little arms circled around my neck. “Fine! Look!”

He showed me his new toy, and I listened to him animatedly explain to me how superman was his favorite superhero for what was the tenth time. I would never get tired of hearing him talk. I loved that he loved to talk to me about the things that were important to him. The same way I had been a goner when it came to his mother the same could be said about him. He was just too damn lovable not to love.

“Baby, are you hungry?”

“Yes,” both me and Axel said at the same time.

Maddy let out a boisterous laugh.

“I meant Axel,” Danny laughed lightly, “but I can make you some food too, Gav.”

“That would be great, babe.” I was not trying to hide anything. We hadn’t put a timeline on when we would tell people about us and, to be honest, now was as good a time as any. Besides, this was Marcus and Maddy. They weren’t the pope, and we were all adults here.

“Okay, hold up,” Maddy said in Marcus’ arms, “so you two are dating? Or are you just…fun buddies.”

“We’re dating,” I answered for the both of us. “As of 57 hours ago, but who is counting.”

“Danny has this just-got-serviced glow. It’s stunning on her, by the way. Whatever you are doing, it's working. Keep doing that.”

“Okay, breakfast time now,” Danny said, trying to shift the conversation to something else. I could see the blush on her cheeks, and I let out a laugh with Axel in my arms.

I placed Axel down, and he ran to his little table and chair off to the corner where Danny was placing his plate of pancakes and bacon.

My phone buzzed in my pocket, and I pulled it. My stomach churned when I saw the name flashing across the screen.
