“What?”

“Let’s get married in two weeks. We don’t have to make it big. We can have something small, and we can keep it low budget.”

“Umm absolutely not,” Maddy interrupted us. “No sister of mine is having some hum down, low budget wedding. You are an Anderson, dammit. We don’t do low budgets around here. We are high class.”

“I don’t have the time or the money to plan a big extravagant wedding, Mads. I would prefer to keep it small anyway.”

She waved me off. “Fine, small you can have but low budget? Absolutely no. You know what? Give me a month to plan. Two weeks is too short notice for me. I need more time to get my life in order and beauty takes time. We can have a destination wedding.”

“Mads, you don’t have to do this.”

She rolled her eyes at me in annoyance. “When will you learn that this is how I show my love. Money to me is a means to an end, and what I love most is spoiling those I love. Did you not see Ryan rocking his little cute swimsuit?“

“Still unnecessary,” Marcus said from the other side of the kitchen.

“Marcus, honey, I’m working here.” Maddy then turned back to us. “Allow me to do this for you. You helped so much with the ranch and keeping my dad’s legacy alive. Allow me to do this one small thing for you.”

I thought it over for a moment. “Okay, fine. You can plan the wedding for us. But I do want to be involved. I don’t have the same flare and luxurious taste you have. I like simple and understated things.”

“Whatever you say.” She clinked her glass to mine.

The door to the porch opened and in walked a smiling Lily and happy Ethan.

“I’m getting married, bitches!” She raised her hand in the air and we erupted into cheers.

The people in this room had had their relationships tried and tested time and time again. But through it all, love always won out.

I looked up at my fiancé. “You were my dandelion wish.”

He stared down at me with a matching smile on his face. “And you were mine.”

“You and me against the world,” I started it off.

“Till the end of time,” he continued.

“I am yours and you are mine,” we said in unison.
