The man I wasn’t supposed to see. The man I told myself I wouldn’t run to.

And now he’s here.

Fuck. I wasn’t even supposed to talk to any men, let alone…this. I need to figure out what the fuck happened…and now.

“Brendon, come on. Seriously what happened last night?”

“You seriously can’t remember? Because we did shit that I’ve never done before. Things that I have plans to do many times over again.”

He grabs his coffee cup and takes a sip, but he never looks away. His gaze is intense, and I squirm underneath it, feeling my pussy pulsate in anticipation.

Shit, no. I can’t do that. Notagain.

“But you’re…I’m…we’re about to get married! What were we thinking?”

“We weren’t. That’s what was so fucking fun about it.”

“How did this happen?” I ask, hoping he’d give me some clarification as to why or how I left myself go so far down the rabbit hole.

I’m sure the tequila is a clear indication, but there must be more.

He turns away from me, and I watch as his biceps and shoulders twitch when he opens the fridge and reaches for eggs and bacon.

Hmmmm…

“How does anything like this happen? Two people wanted to fuck, and so they did.”

I snort; that’s a fucking answer if I’ve ever heard one. “Honey, what do you take me for me? I’m no dumb blonde.”

“But you are a very, verydirty one.” He stops flipping the pan of eggs and sets it down. “I’m not dumb, either. I know when a woman enjoys herself, and darling, you very much enjoyed being dirty.”

I swallow hard and look around the suite. This has to be a dream. He can’t be here—naked and fixing me breakfast.

This type of shit is what dreams are made of. Not reality. Not for the soon-to-be Mrs. Butt’s reality.

I roll my eyes just thinking about that last name and the reality that comes with it. I’ve always enjoyed messing around, especially with my girls. But I’d never thought I’d ruin my chances of a supportive and comfortable lifestyle, the one I thought I wanted.

“Where is everyone? Where’s Becky, Sammi, and Percy?” I ask, suddenly very aware that I haven’t seen them sprawled out on the floor covered in heaven knows what.

“They’re around…somewhere,” he says with a shrug.

“Uh, okay.”

“So, now you want company? That’s not what you said last night.”

“Brendon, I don’t remember what I said last night.” I skip all pleasantries and go straight for the name.

It’ll get his attention—like it gets everyone’s. When I’m not calling them honey or darlin’, it means I’m serious.

“So you’ve said. I’d be happy to refresh your memory.” He plates the eggs and drops toast on the side—when did he make that? “But first, eat. You’ll need all the energy you can get for later.”

He winks and bites down on the toast.

Hell, how does he make that so sexy?

“Who taught you to cook?” I ask him, now grateful for the food as I feel the leftover tequila mingle with the hot coffee and swirl cautiously in my empty stomach.

“Let’s just say I know how to please a woman, in every possible way.”
