“Then what does that tell you about her?” he fired back. Instead of being terrified like most of my victims down here, he was seething, pissed off that I had the audacity to call him out on his one true failure.

“Then maybe you’ve lost your skill set. Either way you’re useless to me now. Do you know what I do to men who fail me?” I asked.

He barely held back an eye roll and rage took over. My fist slammed into his face several times before I regained my control. He spit out blood on the floor and glared at me through swollen eyes.

“Who are you going to replace me with if you try to kill me?” he challenged me.

“No one. I don’t need a tracker anymore, I have all that I need,” I said smugly. His eyes widened as shadows poured out from my hands and filled the ground. They rose up his body slowly before wrapping solidly around his throat. I closed my fist gradually, dragging out the torture until his face was blue and the life drained from his eyes. Then I crushed his windpipe completely and let go, his body falling to the ground in an undignified heap.

What I told him was true. I didn’t need him anymore; I had the bargaining chip I needed. Walking out of the room I stepped across the hall and pushed that cell open. A fiery redhead leapt to her feet the moment I entered.

“Let me go!” she screamed. It was the same plea I’d gotten every single day for months. Well… not quite a plea but a demand. She was the one wolf I’d allowed myself to keep, mate or not. The fact I couldn’t break her had solidified her survival. I wanted to keep pushing until she was nothing but a shell of her former self.

“I found your sister.” That had the fight draining from her and for the first time since she’d been thrown at my feet, I saw a true reaction from her. “She thinks she’s going to come save you. Too bad she’s a week late.”

“You bastard,” she spit out. I’d moved her just days earlier and knowing the fact she was so close to being out of here, infuriated her even further. I loved her passion and if it wasn’t so fun to torment her, I’d have taken her for myself. I had a feeling that fire would be amazing to fuck right out of her. “I knew there was a reason you were moving me. Why do you keep me? Just let me fucking go!” Her screams echoed on the walls, and I let a sadistic smile form on my face just for her.

“Oh, because once you’re mine, you’re mine. You’ll never get away from me and keep your life.”

With that, I walked out. She’d proven to me that she had one weakness and by this time next week, I’d have a matching pair of wolves. I would enjoy breaking these two sisters and adding them to my collection. Because any wolves who thought they could oppose me and wage a war against my pack, needed to be taught a lesson. One that I would broadcast across the supernatural world.

I’m untouchable and I won’t stop until they’re all under my rule.
