She nods, smiling when my other hand finds the small of her back, securing her flush against me.

“Brandy isn’t used to being told no about anything. But she’s going to have to get used to it because it’s the only word she’s ever going to hear from me again.” I lean in for a kiss.

My lips no more than touch hers when I feel myself start to strain against my pants.

Told ya, she’s a fucking drug.

I have to physically force myself to break the kiss, knowing I have to be back on set soon.

“What prompted this unexpected visit, anyway?” I ask.

“Oh, yeah.” She shakes out of my hold, turning back toward the table. “I thought maybe you’d like a break from trail mix and cold cuts.” She unzips the bag and pulls it open, at the same time that I step up behind her, my arms going around her middle as I look over her shoulder. “I wasn’t sure if you had a microwave, or when you’d be able to eat, but if you leave it in this bag, it’s insulated so it should stay warm for a while.” She produces a small casserole dish. “It’s my homemade lasagna. And there’s some garlic bread in there too. I’m still getting to know what you like, but you said you liked lasagna the other day so I thought that was a safe bet.”

“Trying to fatten me up, are we?” I turn toward her, kissing the soft spot just below her ear.

“Just want to make sure you’re taken care of.”

I wait until she slips the casserole dish back into the bag before spinning her around to face me.

“You’re too good for me,” I tell her, tucking a strand of hair behind her ear.

“Some would argue it’s the other way around.”

“And they would be wrong.” I kiss her again, moaning when our tongues meet.

I’m seconds away from saying fuck it, and taking her right here and now, when a hard knock sounds on my trailer door.

“Five minutes to set,” the person on the other end calls.

“Fuck,” I grumble, reluctantly pulling away from Clarke’s delicious mouth. “Heard,” I call back, knowing if I don’t, they’ll knock again.

“I should go.” Clarke ducks out of my embrace.

“Whoa, whoa, whoa.” I catch her arm in her pursuit of the door. “Where do you think you’re going?”

“He just said…”

“He just said I have five minutes,” I remind her, pulling her back to me. “I can do a lot in five minutes.”

“I have no doubt.” She takes my face in both of her hands. “But I need to go anyway. I have a showing this afternoon.”

“But I haven’t given you a proper thank you.” I pout out my lower lip, causing her to grin.

“How about tonight?”

“Your place?”

“Why do we always hang out at my house when yours is so much bigger… and nicer?”

“Because I like your place better.”

“Yeah, okay.” She rolls her eyes.

“I’m serious.” I drop a chaste kiss to her lips when she releases my face. “It smells like you.”

“You like my house better because it smells like me?” She arches a brow.

“What? It does.” I chuckle.
