“Okay,” she says softly.
And we stand there for a long time, just watching the sunset. Neither of us says anything. I think about all the moments we’ve shared together, and all of them were amazing, but just being still with her right now – this is the best one of all.
“You’re so beautiful,” she says. “I’ve missed you so much.”
“I’ve missed you, too,” I reply.
“What does that mean?” she asks.
I bring her hands to my lips and kiss the fingertips one by one until I’ve kissed all ten of them.
“I don’t know,” I say.
She lowers her hands to my belt and asks, “May I?”
“Yes,” I say.
She unbuckles it. Then, her hands move to my shirt. She unbuttons each button slowly, and once my shirt is open, her hands move back to my chest. She runs them up and down, grazing my breasts and making my nipples grow hard. I swallow when she stops to massage them.
“I think this is more than just sex for me,” she says.
“But we’re still going to have sex now, right?” I ask.
She laughs and pulls my shirt off, pressing herself against me again once it’s on the floor.
“Yes,” she says.
“It’s more than sex for me, too,” I say.
Her hands move down to my pants, and it doesn’t take long for her to unbutton and unzip them.
“So, tonight…” she fades.
“Is a date?” I ask.
She nods as she kisses my shoulder. My pants fall to the floor, and her hands move to my stomach, rubbing it as I kick off my shoes and flick the pants away.
“A first date,” she says.

“I hate this,” she says.
“I’ll be back tomorrow night,” I reply.
“It’s been two weeks.”
“I know.”
“We’ve had one date,” she says.
“One perfect date,” I reply, smiling at her.
“I want another one,” she says.
“So do I, babe,” I tell her. “I’m sorry it’s taken so long. I really thought we’d have this whole account sorted, but I have a flight booked for tomorrow afternoon, and I won’t miss it, I promise.”
