Callan hurried over to the sack and pulled out an axe. “Ye forgot this.”
"Let us go save Nora," Jonan said firmly.
"Aye," Callan agreed before turning to look at Amelia.
"Ye should stay here," Jonan finally said.
"But I want to help my sister," she complained.
"It's quite dangerous," Callan warned.
“I swear to ye that I will return with Nora, even if it kills me,” Jonan said.
“I shall be here. If neither of you returns by tomorrow, I will come myself."
"Here," Jonan said, handing her a knife. "Nora will never forgive me if she finds out I left her sister alone and unarmed," he continued and placethe blade into her small hand.
