Murdina and Kin took their places at the high table, and after the priest had pronounced a blessing, the feasting began. The celebrations went on long into the evening; the castle bell chimed hour after hour as the revelries continued. After they had eaten and drunk their fill, the tables were pushed back, and the musicians took their place to play a merry jig with all the guests dancing together. Murdina and Kin were in the middle of the throng, and when at last they stepped out, they were breathless, laughing with one another as they almost collided with Cillian and Freya.

“The two of ye are certainly enjoyin’ yerselves,” Murdina said, raising her eyebrows to Freya, who blushed.

“Cillian is… a delightful partner to dance with,” she said, and Murdina laughed.

“Daenae be leadin’ poor Cillian astray now, Freya,” she said, and now it was Cillian’s turn to blush.

“We are… enjoyin’ ourselves. It had been a wonderful day,” he said.

“And we are only glad to have all our family around us,” Murdina replied.

But the time had come for them to slip away, and saying their goodbyes, they made their way out of the great hall and up the stairs towards Murdina’s chambers.

“They will want to bless the bed,” Kin whispered, as they came in earshot of a revelry up ahead and voices calling expectantly to one another.

“Oh, nay, I just want to be left alone. I want ye all to myself,” she replied, turning to him.

He looked at her with a mischievous grin on his face before taking her by the hand and beckoning her to follow him.

“This way, I have an idea,” he said, and together they hurried in the opposite direction, taking a circuitous route which brought them to the gallery above the great hall.

“The library?” she said, and he nodded.

“The very same,” he said, producing a key from his pocket.

Murdina could not help but smile at the thought of what he was suggesting, and quietly they made their way to the library door. Cobwebs had gathered in the weeks since last they had entered, and Kin turned the key in the lock, ushering her into the darkness beyond, where shafts of moonlight through the upper windows cast pools of light on the floor. Kin struck a tinder, lighting a candle he had in his pocket.

“Did ye plan this?” she asked, and he nodded.

“I did not want my bed blessed, nor did I want them all watching as we were put to bed. Let them search for us all they like. They will not find us here,” he said, and he closed the door behind them, turning the key in the lock.

He set the candle down on the table in the center of the room before turning and taking her in his arms. His touch roused her passions, for she had thought much of this moment in the days gone by, and now they were alone; nothing could hold them back. Their lips met in a passionate kiss, the kiss of two lovers, each given over entirely to the other. He was all she desired, and this moment, the final moment of their union, was, she knew, all he desired, too. His hands pulled at her dress, and she tugged at his breeches, each in haste to undress the other, their bodies now entwined, impassioned and aroused.

“And all I wanted was to be with ye,” she gasped, as now his hands ran down her body, his lips pressed to her neck, tracing a lustful trail to her breasts.

She took hold of his pleasure, and he gasped, stiffening against her, his hands now searching her out as she too gasped at the intensity of his touch. This could have been their very first encounter, so filled was it with desire and lust for one another. She wanted him; she wanted to know him, to feel him, to be consumed by the fire of passion that was theirs.

“I must possess you,” he said, breathlessly clutching at her.

“And I, ye,” she gasped, as now they fell back together onto the table, scattering books and papers everywhere.

Murdina was on her back, and Kin arched himself over her, their lips meeting, his hands pulling her towards him. With a cry, she gave way to him, and as he entered her, she shuddered with an ecstasy of pain and pleasure. It was a feeling so intense that she clasped at him, pulling him into her embrace, her legs raised up, his rhythm now overwhelming her. She could feel that same sense of ecstasy building inside her, a warmth with such intensity as to be ready to break.

“How I love you,” he said, as now she eased back, holding him up, a smile coming over her face.

“Ye will wait for yer pleasure,” she whispered, and she rolled him onto his side, sending more book scattering to the floor.

He was on his back now, and she straddled him, easing herself onto his pleasure, her hands on his chest as now she brought her own pleasure to rise once again. Slower then faster, the rhythm changing as she brought herself close to ecstasy and then allowed the feeling to subside. He, too, was growing closer to his pleasure, and she knew she could control it, allowing the feeling to build bit by bit so that each of them now came to a state of frenzy, so impassioned had they become. His hands were on her hips, and with a sudden cry, the feeling overwhelmed her, flooding her with warmth. She shuddered as he let out his own exclamation, and the two of them rolled panting and breathless onto their sides.

“It was a pleasure worth waiting for,” he gasped, holding her in his arms and kissing her.

She rested her head on his chest, breathing heavily, her hands around his neck. They had shared a perfect moment, the fulfillment of their union, and pleasure she would never forget.

“Will it always be like that?” she asked, desirous of more.

“We shall make it so,” he replied, as now he brought his lips to her breasts, his hands searching her out.

Murdina rolled onto her back, allowing the sensation of his lips on her body to overcome her. His hands slid down her body, his tongue searching her out, and again she gasped at the intensity of feeling, the tip of his tongue searching her out and causing her to shudder. A moment later, he brought his lips to hers once again, and she tasted the pleasure which was his. How she desired him, wanting nothing more than to be possessed by him again and again, and, as the night went, so did their passion, long into the early hours, until at last they fell asleep in one another’s arms, awoken only by the first rays of dawn coming through the windows above.
