“We’ll get them brother. No one messes with one of ours and gets away with it. That shit doesn’t fly here. We know what you’ve both lost. We haven’t experienced it, but we’re here with you every step of the way.” Doc says. Before we can continue, a prospect bursts through the chapel doors. “What the fuck prospect! You know you’re not supposed to be in here.”

“I’m sorry, but there’s a situation in the main room that needs your attention.” He says before rushing back out. We all jump to our feet and make our way to the main room. When we get there, we see one of the prospects laying on the pool table with a gunshot wound to the stomach. The other prospect is trying to stop the bleeding. These two were supposed to be at the school with the kids. I look to where Gavin is standing. He’s pale.

“What the fuck is going on?” Westyn bellows out, causing the room to go instantly quiet. We’re waiting for an answer when Alanis comes rushing from the room. I’m not sure how long this shit has been going on. I don’t even know how long we were in church, but as soon as I see her face, I know something’s wrong. Something that could only involve Posey. She rushed towards me and places the phone on speaker. The room is quiet until the phone goes dead. It happens in slow motion. Alanis falls to her knees with a wail, Gavin falls to his knees. Snoopy rushes to his brother. I rush towards my woman. The only sound that could be heard is the wails coming from my wife.

“Brother, we need to calm her down. The baby.” Doc says. I know he’s right. We may not be as high risk right now, but anything could happen. I give him a nod and try and clam my woman down. “I need Hannah and Aliana here. We can’t move him from where he is without losing him.” Doc’s words fade as I focus on my woman.

“We’ll get her back babe. We will. I’ll personally get her back. Our grandbaby too. I need you to calm down for this little one you’re carrying.” I lift her from the ground and take her to our room in the clubhouse. I kick the door closed after I get us in the room and lay her down on the bed.

“My baby. Eliot, I can’t lose her.” I hold her tight and kiss her forehead. I’ll get my daughter back, if it’s the last thing I do. I’m not sure how long we’ve been laying here when her breathing evens out and she falls asleep. I need to get up and find out what the hell happened, but I don’t want to leave her right now. No matter how much I don’t want to, I know that I have to if I want to find my daughter. Slowly, I make my way out of the room and back into the main room.

“I was waiting for her to come out of class. She had to stay over because she was having trouble with one of her assignments and needed extra help. I told her I’d wait outside the building for her. It happened so fast. The two prospects were waiting by the doors for her to come out. One went down and the other got him out of the way. More bullets sprayed and then I heard her screaming. I jumped out of my car and ran towards the back of the building. They were stuffing her unconscious body into a trunk. I couldn’t recognize them. They had masks on and by the time I made it to where the vehicle was, they were gone.” I hear Gavin say when I get to the mouth of the room.

“Don’t worry, we’ll get her and your baby back safe.” Snoopy tells his brother.

“How is she brother?” I look to see who was talking to see Axyl.

“As good as someone who just found out that their daughter has been taken by unknowns. She’s fucking devastated and I don’t know how to help her. The only thing I know that I can do is bring our girl back. She’s asleep right now and I’m not sure how long that’s going to last. She’s fucking devastated brother. She lost a baby and then to turn around and lose your daughter? Fuck man. I’m barely hanging on.” I tell him.

“We’ve got your back brother. My charter is going to stay and help you out as much as we can. I sent my VP back to look over things there. I’ve got a soft spot for your ol’ lady. She reminds me of someone that was very close to me, and later taken from me.” Blaster says. I give him a chin lift in acknowledgement. I can’t dwell on what he said at this moment. My mind is focused on finding my daughter.

“Morgan is at our house with the sitter.” Axyl says. Thank God because I don’t think I can answer all the questions he’s going to have right now. I need to get my mind right before I lose it. That won’t help anyone in this situation.

“Alright. Everyone that isn’t a member get out.” Westyn bellows out. The prospects and ol’ ladies leave the room, leaving Ali and Hannah to help Doc and the rest of us to plan. “We’ll get them back brother. No ifs, ands, or buts. We will get your kid and grandkid back. I can’t promise when, but I can promise that.” I know what he means. We don’t know where they plan to take them, or what they plan to do with her. “Snoopy, I want you to get with Kai’s hacker. I want to know where they’re taking Posey, and I want to know yesterday. Trigger, I need you to real that shit in. I can see you slipping and that won’t do anyone any fucking good.” Snoopy rushes from the room to his room to get busy on his orders. I try to real in my anger and frustrations. I think of my wife and my kids. I think of the baby that’s going to be here in five months and it helps. I can still feel the anger simmering under my skin, but I’m calmer now.

“I’m good pres.” I say and he gives me a nod.

“Gavin, what did the car look like?” He asks.

“It was a red Oldsmobile. One of the windows was taped up. There wasn’t a plate so I couldn’t get that. The men were about five-foot-ten. I can’t think of anything else.” He says.

“That’s good enough. Go on and get something to eat. We’ll get her back. I promise you that.” Westyn says. He nods and gets up to go to the kitchen. “Let’s plan.”

Alanis

I don’t know how, or when, I fell asleep, but I did. I was hoping that when I woke up that all this would be a dream. It wasn’t. I woke up to an empty bed. Eliot must have left after I fell asleep. I’m not sure how I feel about that right now to be honest. I wish he was here when I woke up. I need him right now. I need him more than I’ve ever needed anyone in my life. I’ve lost my daughter and a baby all in a couple of months. I don’t know how much more I can take of this. I don’t know how much longer I can act strong when I’m not. I’m completely falling apart. I’m brought out of my thoughts when a knock sounds from the door. It’s not Eliot because he would have just walked in. Do I want to see anyone? Not really, but I probably should. It could be important. “Come in.” My voice is hoarse form all the sobbing I’ve been doing.

I look up at the door when it opens to see a distraught Gavin standing in the doorway. I hold my arms out and he rushes forward. “Shh. It’s okay sweet boy. We’ll get her back.” I look over his shoulder to see Blaster standing there. I continue shushing Gavin and rocking him back and forth. “You can come in if you’d like.” I tell him. He walks in and sits in the chair by the desk.

“I wanted to see how you were holding up. I know it’s a stupid question but doesn’t hurt to ask.” He says.

“I’m doing about as well as I can.” I tell him honestly. “My daughter has been taken and there’s nothing I can do about it right now. I just have to have faith that the boys will bring her and my grandchild home.”

“We’ll get her. I’m going to stay here. I’ve sent my VP back to Florida to take care of things there. I know you don’t know me from Adam, but I’ve decided to claim you as my family. You remind me of someone very special to me. You remind me of home. I felt an instant familial connection to you as soon as I met you.” Blaster says.

“Blaster.” I start.

“Cane. Call me Cane.” He tells me.

“Cane. You don’t know me. Am I flattered? Yes. Can I ask who I remind you of?” I ask. I look from Cane to the boy in my arms and see that Gavin has stopped crying long enough to fall asleep. I don’t think he’s going to be asleep long though. He’s a tough boy, but his baby and woman are out there somewhere. I don’t think he knows what to do right now. I know I don’t.

“My sister. She was your age when she passed away.” He says.

“I’m so sorry Cane. That’s terrible.” I sympathize.

“It’s been five years, and still doesn’t get any easier, but you remind me of her. She had been fighting cancer since she was five. The fight finally left her five years ago. She was a fighter, but when you fight cancer four times over twenty-five years, it takes a lot out of your body. She was always putting others before herself. Always saw the best in others, no matter where they came from. She was a spitfire when she needed to be. She sure whipped my guys into shape when they needed their asses handed to them. I’m not looking for you to replace her, I’m just making it known that you’re my family now. That girl out there is my family. From what I’ve gathered, this young man in your arms is her baby’s father and is very important to your daughter. I’m going to fight tooth and nail along with your husband to get them both back safe and sound. It may not happen today or tomorrow, but it will happen.”

“I appreciate it man.” Eliot answers Cane before I can even form words. “We need all the help we can get. We’ve got feelers out seeing if we can find the car. If we’re lucky, they haven’t gotten far, but if we’re not…” He doesn’t need to elaborate. I know what he means. I don’t want to think about it right now.
