“Don’t act like you weren’t a part of that, but I know how you women get when you don’t drink after a certain amount of time. We’re just lucky Ali hasn’t had to have anymore ‘Axyl discussions.” I have heard all about those discussion from Ali. It’s the only way he can win anything with Ali.

The rest of the ride to the clubhouse was made in comfortable silence with Jackson’s hand on my thigh and my fingers playing with his fingers. This man is amazing, and I don’t know what I would do if he never came into my life. I’d probably be some old spinster with fifty cats or something. We pull up to the familiar gates of the clubhouse and wait for the new prospect to let us through. Jackson let Westyn know that my family would be here around four, so he already informed the front know about it. I’m excited, and nervous, about my family meeting my other family.

They’ve met Ali and Axyl, which they met Aliana when we were still in college, and just recently met Axyl, but their parties are different from the clubs. Parties at the clubhouse are filled with club sluts, hang arounds, loud music, and all kinds of other stuff. Parties within the mafia are more sophisticated. They’re held in ballrooms with fancy dresses and suits. There’s champagne, and slow melodies playing throughout the room. Mafia parties are like fine china whereas clubhouse parties are like paper plates. Not that I’m complaining, I find myself enjoying these types of parties compared to the finer ones.

I’d rather stand around a fire, shooting the shit, with the people that I care about and call my family than standing around in a floor length gown in uncomfortable as hell six-inch heels, talking to people I couldn’t give a rats ass about. I’m just not sure how my family will feel about these types of parties, but I guess I’m about to find out.

“Hannah! Get your ass in here! There’s too much testosterone and I need girl time.” I’ve only got one leg out of the car when Aliana yells out the front doors to the clubhouse. I just shake my head and let Reaper help me out of the car.

“I guess I’ll see you later tonight?” Jackson asks.

“I’ll see you around my love. You know as soon as I walk in there, she’s going to drag me into one of the offices and you won’t see me until the party starts.” I chuckle.

“I’ll hang out with the guys and help with the kids. Not that I’ll have to do much. The moms are probably all over that.” Jackson says. We walk into the clubhouse and sure enough, the moms have the babies, the men are at the bar, and Aliana is dragging me and Tiffany towards Axyl’s office. I barely get a kiss in with Jackson before I’m drug away.

“Woah Ali! Calm down.” I chuckle as I flop down on the couch. “Where’s the fire?”

“Axyl says he wants to get me pregnant again when my six weeks is up after Brantley. I love all my children, but I need a break. He said that he’ll get his way with one of his damn discussions, but I want to be able to enjoy some time not carrying around another human. We got pregnant a few months after I had the girls. I know if he has one of his ‘discussions’ I’ll end up pregnant and our family of seven will turn into a family of eight.”

“Well, I understand you wanting a break. You went through hell when you were pregnant with Jacey and Macey. Just explain it to him in man terms. I’m sure he’ll understand where you’re coming from. If not, get on birth control, which I’m figuring that you’ve already planned to get some sort of contraceptive since you’re having this conversation with me.”

“No, I’m having this conversation with you because you’re my best girlfriend and if I told Jackson, he’d let it slip to Axyl and I can’t have that until I have this conversation with him. I want more kids with him, I really do, but I just want to take a break. The girls just turned one and Brantley isn’t even born yet. I’m twenty-seven with four kids and one on the way. Granted I didn’t give birth to Danny or Murdock, but they’re my kids just the same. Of course, I’m getting on birth control. I just don’t want to go around Axyl’s back to get it. I want him to understand where I’m coming from on this, but he loves being a dad and loves me being pregnant even more.” She says, exasperated.

“Sic the mom squad on him. Threaten to get him snipped.” Tiffany says.

“Aly, I’ll even talk to him. I’ll tell him that it could cause problems not with just you, but the baby as well, getting pregnant back-to-back. Your baby could be born premature. You should know this. You may have not gone to medical school, but you’re a psychologist.”

“You’re right. I’ll sic the moms on him. Thanks for listening to my crazy time. My hormones are going haywire. Tell me how things are going with you and Reaper.” So, for the next hour, I tell her and Tiffany about the house and my parents. I tell them about Blake and Sierra and even Wendy. By the time I’m finished, there’s a knock on the office door and Axyl and Jackson walk in.

“Hey. Your family just arrived. What are you ladies talking about?” Jackson asks as we make our way out of the office.

“We were talking about Axyl wanting to get Aliana pregnant again after her six weeks are up when Brantley is born. I was telling her that it could cause problems with not only her, but the baby. Tiffany told her to sic the moms on him and to threaten him with a vasectomy.”

“Who’s getting a vasectomy?” Westyn asks as we walk into the main area of the clubhouse.

“Cannon is if he doesn’t give Aliana’s vagina a chance to heal and relax between pregnancies.” I say, earning a chuckle from everyone and a ‘hey’ from Axyl. “Hey mama. Daddy! I’m glad you all could make it.

“Hey princess. We wouldn’t miss it for the world. Especially since we get to spend more time with you.” My dad says, bringing me into his arms for a hug. He kisses the top of my head before I give the rest of my family hugs. My brothers, Franchesca who is Kai’s fiancé, five of my dad’s best men, and whom I’m assuming is Wendy are here. “Hannah, I’d like for you to meet your niece, Wendy. Wendy, this is your Aunt Hannah.”

“Well, hello there cutie. It’s so nice to finally meet you.” I kneel down, so I’m eye level with her and she gives me the biggest, toothless, smile I’ve ever seen. “Would you like to meet everyone and then go play with the other children?” She nods her head and places her hand in mine. We walk to where the guys are sitting first. I introduce her to all the guys and then I take her into the playroom to meet the other children. She’s the same age as Danny, so I think she’ll be just fine. “Wendy, this is my friend Aliana. She’s Murdock, Danny, Jacey, and Macey’s mom.” I point over towards Tiff and introduce her as well.

“Hello there cutie pie. Would you like to go play with the kids?” Ali asks.

“Yes ma’am. Thank you miss Aliana.” So well mannered. I think my heart melted a little bit more. How in the hell did my sister get blessed with such a sweet little girl? If things don’t turn out well with Sierra and Blake, I might have to talk to Jackson and my family about having her stay with us. My parents are getting older, not that they let that stop them, and they’re getting ready to hand everything down to my brother so they can relax and enjoy their retirement. Although, we all know they’ll never get out. They’re just going to do it from the sidelines and spend time with their grandchildren and children. I hope for Wendy’s sake that Blake and Sierra get their heads out of their asses and stop whatever it is they have planned before it’s too late.

“So polite. Go on and play. We’ll eat in a few hours.” Wendy takes off to play with the other kids and Ali turns to me. “She’s such a damn sweetheart, and she’s well mannered.” She’s not telling me anything I don’t already know. “She doesn’t deserve to be deserted by her parents. They’re in town and they haven’t even stopped by to see her? That’s just fucked up. Something about this just doesn’t sit right with me.”

“Same here, but I’m not going to stand here and wait for the other shoe to drop. I’m going to live my life and when shit hits the fan, we’ll deal with it then. I don’t know how I never met Wendy before today. It could be that I was never there when Sierra or Blake were there, but I’m glad I got to know her now. I may take her to St. Thomas with us next week.”

“I know the kids will like that. Look at them. She’s been here for all of twenty minutes and she’s already fitting in.” I turn my head and sure enough, she’s fitting right in. “Let’s head back in the main room. They’re just fine in here.” We turn to go back into the main area of the clubhouse. When we get into the main room, there’s a man that I don’t know standing at the door. He looks just like Jackson, but a younger version. Apparently, Aliana knows him because she runs towards him. “Abe! You’re home!”

Shopping with Hannah is an experience I think I could live without. She can shop! I mean, it took us a good forty-five minutes to find a damn living room set! I was fine with one, but she didn’t like the color, but of course, I can’t tell her no and want her to have what she wants, so I just went along with it. We left the house around eight this morning and literally shopped until almost four! I will never take Axyl’s word for granted when it comes to the girls again. We just got to the clubhouse and Ali took Hannah and Tiffany to Axyl’s office before we even made it through the front door. I make my way over to the bar and get a beer before sitting with my brothers. “Remind me to never go shopping with Hannah again.”

“I told you man. Those women can shop! When’s Abe supposed to be home?” Axyl asks.

“She spent forty-five damn minutes trying to pick out a damn living room set! We shopped non-stop for over seven damn hours! He should be here any time.” I inform him. I’d never complain in front of Hannah, but these are my brothers, so by proxy they have to listen to me bitch and moan like a damn chick. “Ali was never that bad when we were younger.”

“She is now. They go shopping at least once a week with our moms, and I stay home with the kids.” Axyl replies.
