“How in the fuck did he get in? She has that place locked down with like four deadbolts and a top of the notch security system her dad had installed.” Axyl asks.

“Your guess is as good as mine. I’m assuming he picked the locks and didn’t get the door shut all the way. As for the security system, he probably had someone shut it off. I just wanted to bring it to attention because I have a feeling that I won’t be able to handle this one on my own when shit hits the fan. I have a feeling this will get worse than when Ali showed up.” We all remember when Aliana showed back up because of her ex. He was an abusive asshole and left her for dead, but she didn’t die. Axyl shot him and thought he made a kill shot, but it turned out he missed. Alex came back to exact his revenge, but in the end, we came out on top victorious.

“It wouldn’t surprise me. I mean, we’re not dealing with a rival club, we’re dealing with the fucking American Mafia.” Westyn interjects. “Or at least just a member. We need to keep our eyes and ears open. Reaper, I need you to get with Hannah’s father and see if you can set up a meeting between his top guys and us. I want to nip this in the bud before all hell breaks loose. If we go to war with the fucking mafia, especially the Mason Family Mafia, none of us are coming out of this alive.”

“Hannah and I are going over to her parents’ house later tonight to discuss this issue. I’d rather not get on their bad side. Especially when I ask Hannah to marry me. I’d hate for my in-laws to hate me. Especially them.” Chuckles greet me at my last statement. “I’ll see what I can do.”

“Sounds good. Now, we need to go over the trip. I know we decided to go to St. Thomas.” Westyn started.

“Like we really had a choice in the matter. Axyl’s wife decided, and no one is stupid enough to cross her. Well, except for Reaper. I’m pretty sure Axyl is terrified of her.” Ink interrupts.

“The fuck I am. I put my woman in her place when she needs to be put there.” We all laugh at Axyl because we know that Ali gets whatever she wants, when she wants it, when it comes to him. I can’t say much though, I’m the same way with Hannah. “Shut up fuckers. You all know you would give her anything she wants too. Hell, all the ol’ ladies get whatever the fuck they ask for. They run this shit, we just sit back and do as we’re told.”

“This is true. No one wants to get them pissed. Speaking of ol’ ladies.” Westyn turns his attention towards me. “Hannah finally agreed to be yours?”

“She sure did. I have her property cut in my room here. I’m going to give it to her when I meet her for lunch.”

“Send her to the shop when she’s ready to get her tat.” Ink says. I nod and Westyn gets back to the topic at hand.

“We have a run next week. Griller, you need to be here for that. You’ll leave Monday and should be back by Wednesday. I figured we could leave that Thursday. Are we staying one or two weeks?” Griller, also known as Axyl’s brother, is our road captain. He must be there for every run to make sure things run smoothly. “Besides, I’m ready to be out of this damn cold weather for a while.” November weather can be brutal here in Indiana, but it has nothing compared to January. It all depends on what mother nature has stuck up her ass.

“I already have the men coming with me. I’m hoping to be back before Wednesday. I don’t want to be on the road that damn long with this threat looming over our heads. Hard to tell what the fucker knows about us. Especially if he has connections with the mafia. Plus, being on the bike in fucking November? Fuck if I want to be riding longer than I need to. We’re heading out around six Monday morning. We’re going to meet the men from the Florida charter in Allatoona, Georgia at the halfway mark. They’ll get the shipment where it needs to go from there.”

“Good. Everyone good with leaving Thursday?” Westyn asks. There were no objections. “Good. Anything else need to be discussed?” Once again, quiet meets Westyn’s question. “Good. Church is dismissed.” He bangs the gavel, and everyone files out of the room. Time to take my woman lunch and give her the cut that’s burning a hole on my closet shelf.

“Alright, I’m heading out. I’m going to take Hannah some lunch.”

“Right behind you. Ali is home with all the kids and even though she won’t admit it, with the girls trying to walk around it makes things that much harder. Not to mention she’s fucking six months pregnant so it’s not as easy for her to get around, or that fast.” Axyl says.

“Well, maybe you should stop knocking up my sister.” Westyn retorts.

“Yeah, that’s not going to happen. I’m already going to have to wait six fucking weeks before I can sink back into her tight, warm heat after Brantley is born. The least I can do is give her the best present I can. It still amazes me how she’s so tight after birthing two kids.” Axyl jokes. He knows taking about anything sexual related with Westyn about Ali gets a reaction.

“What the fuck Axyl! That’s my fucking sister. I don’t need to know this shit. I’m not fucking Reaper. I don’t hold fucking conversations while my best friend’s husband is buried balls deep. Besides, she had a C-Section with the twin’s dimwit” He stops as his face pales. “Fuck! Now the image is ingrained in my fucking head! Damn it. Give me one good reason I shouldn’t put a damn bullet in your ass.” The room fills with booming laughter.

“Probably because you did it to yourself. Don’t sit there and act like you don’t love your nieces and nephews. Besides, Ali asked if we could wait for the next batch until Brantley is out of diapers. She wants to have a break. I love seeing her pregnant, but I understand. Within the year after having the twins, she got pregnant with Brantley pretty quickly. She had a little break, but not as long a break as she would have liked.

“Hell, you’ll have more kids than any member ever has in this club. I’m glad she wants a big family, or you’d be in some serious trouble.” Westyn says before breaking out into laughter. He’s laughing so hard that he’s bent over the bar holding himself up.

“What the fuck is so damn funny?” Axyl demands.

“I just thought of how you plan on getting laid while at the island. Your kids will be in the bed right next to you. No sex on an island for you! Maybe next time we go to a different country.”

“The grandparents will be there. Gavin, Xavier, Kelsey, and the kids are all going to be staying in one room.” Axyl grumbled. “I’ll be sure to get a room right next to yours for that comment.” Axyl walks out of the clubhouse leaving Westyn’s laughter to sober up.

“Fuck me.” Westyn grumbles, walking into his office. I laugh as I walk out and call Hannah about lunch before heading towards her favorite Italian place.

After getting our food, I head towards the clinic. As I’m walking in she’s just getting off the phone. “Hey gorgeous. How has your day been?”

“Busy. I just got off the phone with my dad. He’s expecting us after work.” I nod and we talk about our days so far while we eat. A man could get used to this.

After Reaper and I had lunch, he went back to the clubhouse to get ready for the run coming up in a few days. The men of the club don’t hide anything from their ol’ ladies. They say that the women are better protected when they know what’s going on, to an extent, because they’ll know what to look out for. There are certain things that they won’t tell us for our own protection, and I completely understand it. Do I like it? No, but when it comes to club business, I trust the guys to let us know if something needs to be brought to our attention. Ali took a long time to get with that mindset. She still struggles with it because she thinks we should know every little thing, but I grew up in the mafia scene, so I know when to ask questions and when not to.

The rest of my day has been busy with appointments and walk-ins. Ali came by with the kids to get things set up for her return on Monday. We can’t really close the clinic when things like this come up, or we end up on lockdown, so when we first decided to open the clinic, we decided to hire another doctor and psychologist. We have a few nurses on staff as well. So, I can leave the clinic for however long we’re going to be gone and know it’ll be in good hands. This is mine and Ali’s baby.

We created Angels Door when we were in our final year of college. We knew we would eventually open it but weren’t sure when. After everything was settled with Ali and the Blue Moon, MC, we started planning to open the clinic. Half of it is medical, which is my department, and the other half is psychology, which is Ali’s department. It took us a while, but we finally opened it a year ago. It’s been bringing in a steady number of patients. If our patients don’t have insurance, then our rates are based on their incomes.

We want our patients to worry about getting better and not how they’re going to pay their bills. If someone from the Safe Haven place that the club owns comes in, we don’t charge at all. Secrecy and all that. Once a month we have a day where we allow the homeless to come in and get whatever they need, free of charge. That was the brothers’ idea. We even have some veterans coming in and we never charge them. They risked their lives for our freedom. It’s the least we could do.
