“Come, baby,” he commands as he brings his hand down a second time.

I cry out as my pussy clamps down around his erection again and again. White-hot pleasure burns through my veins, sending tingling relief to my extremities.

“Good girl,” Gabriel purrs as his hands shift from my hips, moving down so one can brace on the bed. The other massages the peak of my thighs, elongating my pleasure as he draws out my orgasm by stroking my sensitive bundle of nerves.

As I gasp and shudder beneath him, Gabriel continues to rock inside me. His motions are growing more gentle, slowing and evening as he lays tender kisses down my spine.

“My beautiful princess. It must be an angel above who sent you to me,” he breathes, his breath tickling my flesh.

“I love you so much, Gabriel,” I whisper, my heart so full of emotion. I feel as though I can hardly breathe with its intensity.

“I fucking love you,” he growls fiercely.

I can feel him growing harder inside me, reaching the cusp of his own orgasm, and the knowledge that my saying I love him turns him on, makes my pussy throb. It doesn’t hurt that his fingers continue to stroke and flick the sensitive nub with expert precision, eliciting just the right balance of pain and pleasure to make me groan.

“I’m coming,” I gasp as the sudden release washes over me.

“Come with me, baby,” Gabriel groans, and I feel hot cum spurt inside me as my pussy closes down around his cockhead, milking him until he’s buried deep inside me.

We throb together until our combined ecstasy oozes out of my soaking pussy, trickling over my folds and onto my clit. Gabriel uses the extra lube to continue playing with me until the last of my aftershocks ripple through my body.

“Fucking Christ,” I groan, my head light with the intensity of my release.

Gabriel presses one more gentle kiss between my shoulder blades before he pulls himself up and gently eases out of me.

We both head to the shower, finally ready to start our day, now that we’re fully satisfied. As we wash, my eyes linger on the closed scars of our injuries from our wedding day. We’re both completely healed now, neither of us in any more pain, and I feel so fortunate to be perfectly safe and happy with the love of my life. What a perfect day, marred by such an ugly event. And yet, now I can look back on it and see just how lucky we are. We have the most incredible support system and family. We have everything we truly need. And we have each other.

Starla arrives shortly before sunset, and I’m glad she made it before dark. I always hate the thought of her driving on the long, winding New England roads with no light and no civilization around to help her if she needed it. Of course, she could call Gabe, and he would race to help her, but still, I love knowing she’s made the hard journey safely before dark.

I pull her into my arms as she steps through the doorway, two suitcases in her hands, and she drops them to return my embrace.

“You’ve grown so much since I saw you last!” she marvels, holding me at arm’s length.

“Well, it has been over a month,” I remind her, stepping back and laying a hand on my pregnant belly.

“You’re radiant,” she adds, a kind smile gracing her face.

“Gabriel, help her with her bags, will you?” I ask, but he’s already there, scooping them up to take to our guest room.

“It smells delightful. Are you cooking?” she asks.

“Eggplant parmesan,” I say proudly.

“Who are you, and what have you done with my friend Winter?” she teases.

I tap her arm playfully and shut the door behind her. She settles in quickly and joins me in the kitchen to watch as I move around.

“You look like you were born to cook,” she says affectionately. “But you shouldn’t be bending down like that to get to the stove. You’re so pregnant. One of these times, you’ll bend over and get stuck.”

“Ha ha.” I stick my tongue out at her. “I refuse to relinquish this last shred of self-respect. Gabriel’s already having to shave my legs. I won’t let him completely take over the kitchen for me too.”

Starla snickers.

“What’s this about me shaving your legs?” Gabriel asks, stepping out of the hallway to join us. “I thought we were supposed to keep that a secret.”

“Well, yes, but not from Starla,” I say with a playful eye roll.

Gabriel raises a warning eyebrow to show me I’ll be paying for my smart mouth later. A shiver of delight raises the hair on the back of my neck.
