Besides, anyone with eyes could see that the little demoness owned his big brother, heart and soul.

“Fucking hell, Sam,” growled Raze. “Where are you? Are you in the casino now?”

Just like how Raze could never use his true name to summon Sam, his celestial aura didn’t work against his brothers. He could never follow a trail to Sam or know where he was which was a blessing when he was going for an evening flight and wanted a little solitude.

Or, you know, when he was watching over his soulmate.

He wouldn’t lie to his brother, though. “I am. And before you ask, Polly isn’t.” He felt her absence all the way down to his soul. In the time since he’d closed the door behind him, she was gone. “She already left.”

“Perfect. Becca’s taking a nap right now,” Raze told him, a hum of pride to his voice as he made it clear that he was the reason his mate was worn out enough to sleep. “I stopped in at the office and Micah said you had something you wanted to talk about. You got time now?”

His soulmate had already run off because of something he inadvertently did. His brother was finally remembering that there was more to life than just fucking his demoness. Lucifer had their talisman, and for so many reasons, Sam needed to help get it back.

“Yeah,” he said gruffly, rubbing the back of his neck. “I got time.”
