Jenna and I danced and sang along toMr. Brightside. Evidently, the whole party was throwback night because every song was from grade school. It was awesome.

Even though I was well aware of the clock ticking down in my head to when the poison would wear off, I was still surprised at how quickly an hour had passed. And I had to pee. Badly.

“I’ll be right back,” I told Jenna who had a pretty cute guy grinding up on her. She winked at me and gave me a thumbs-up, and I had a little flashback to that first party once again.

My, how things had changed.

The bathrooms were upstairs, and I trotted up the stairs, noting that there was another vomit pile added to the first. It was only a matter of time before some drunk person slid on the vomit all the way down the stairs.

The bathrooms were just down the hall from the room I’d left Cain in, so of course, I glanced at the door as I passed.

It was ajar.

I bit my lip, wondering if Tyson had wandered in, and then sighed as a suspicious emotion inside of me that I refused to acknowledge forced me to check it out.

I walked to the door and pushed it all the way open.

And a fucking red haze filled my vision.

That girl who’d had her hand in his back pocket was straddling him and palming his cock as he stared up at her in horror, still unable to move.

I sprang into the room and grabbed her by the hair before throwing her off Cain. She screamed as I pulled on her long locks so hard I was surprised her hair didn’t all rip out.

I pulled up Cain’s pants so his dick was tucked back in and only my tattoo peeked from his pants. I yanked her head so it was just a few inches away from the marking.

“Do you see this, bitch?” I hissed, shaking her head forcibly as she cried and screamed. “Or can you not read?” I smashed her head against the ground and her nose burst open as it broke, spraying blood everywhere. “I want you to tell all your little friends that you tried to touch something that wasn’t yours. And if I ever see your face again, I’m going to cut out your eyes and feed them to you,” I said calmly before smashing her face against the floor once more for good measure before letting her go.

She staggered to her feet, sobbing hysterically and mumbling nonsensically. The girl tried to make it to the door, but she was definitely not capable of walking in a straight line after the concussion I’d just given her, so it took a minute.

She was lucky I hadn’t cut off her hands. I must have been feeling charitable today.

After she’d finally disappeared through the door, I pulled out my phone and texted Remington:

Pick up for you at the hockey house. And you might want to hurry…

He immediately texted back:

What did you do, little devil?

I just had a little craft time after the party got boring,I typed back before locking the door and pocketing my phone.

I glanced down at Cain who was staring up at me…looking confused.

“I told you that you belonged to me, Cain,” I whispered, wiping some of the blood on my hand off on his shirt before standing up.

I left the room again, locking the door behind me this time, which, let’s face it…I should have done the first time. I blamed the fact that I’d been a little too intoxicated with power to think straight at that moment.

Happened to the best of us.

Finally peeing, I tried my best to get rid of at least some of the blood spray covering my skin with some paper towels and water from the sink. Thank goodness for black dresses. At least you couldn’t tell by my clothes I was soaked in blood.

After cleaning up, I casually walked down the stairs and back out into the mass of people. There was no sign of the girl I’d destroyed, and no one looked like they’d just seen a bloody, broken girl running by. But maybe these people were used to those things.

A flashback of the red punch being thrown all over me at that party crashed through my mind.

Yeah, maybe they just didn’t care about things like that.

I looked over to the dance floor and immediately locked eyes with Jenna who was still dancing with the same guy. “Everything okay?” she mouthed, and I nodded before moving, melting into the crowd and situating myself against the wall so I had a view of the front door…and the staircase.
