But I knew that wasn't the answer he really wanted. Ela was telling me this because he was honestly scared of himself, and he was begging me to understand. So I nodded, reaching out to take his hand.

"I don't think your monster wants to hurt me either, but I get it, ok? We'll go at your pace. I just figured that you should know that I'm into the lighter aspects of what you do - for myself. And when it comes to you taking it out on others? Don't be afraid of letting me see. Please? I've always known that you can be cruel. I love you more because of it. Ela, that's how you protect me. It's why I feel so safe with you, and it's always been the sexiest thing about you."

"That I hurt people?" He sounded incredulous.

"That you have no limits," I corrected. "You, Eladehl, will do anything for those you love, even hurt others. Yeah, that part."

Slowly, the tension in his body began to fade. "I'll think about it, ok? I mean, I miss having Wraythe hold you for me, and that doesn't really seem like it's the same thing."

"But it counts for class," I reminded him. Then I closed my book, stacked it with my others, and pushed back my chair. "I also won't ask again. When you're ready, you'll tell me, ok?"

"I promise," he said as I stood.

"And the three of you can talk about this, because I'm going to have a nice hot bath and soak away my aches." But before I left the room, I made my way around the table to kiss the top of Ela's head. "I will always love you," I whispered. "Always."

Chapter 15

Nariana

Iwent to have a long, hot bath. The whole time I soaked, I could hear the guys still talking. It sounded like they hadn't left the table, at least at first. Eventually, my fingers and toes began to wrinkle, and the water changed from hot to mostly warm. My body was still a little sore, but only time would heal that, so I got out.

I was standing at the sink when I heard something heavy shift in the other room. I was pretty sure they were moving the furniture. Not thinking much of it, I continued what I was doing. By the time I had my hair dry and had pulled on a comfortable lounge dress, the guys had gotten quiet. It was the kind of pregnant pause that made me think they were up to something, especially considering how long they'd been talking.

Curious, I headed into the main section of the suite to see that I was right. The living room had been completely readjusted again, but there, in the middle of our new rug, was a single hard-backed chair from the dining room. Then I noticed the set of smooth ropes on the ground beside it. They were black, most likely made of silk or something similar, and I knew Shalsa had given Ela a set just like them. Before I could even turn to ask, a pair of hands slid around my waist. I didn't even need to check. I knew it was my partner.

"We'll try it once," Ela said softly beside my ear. "But I'm not the one in charge, ok?"

I nodded. "I said I could wait."

"I know." He kissed the side of my neck gently. "But they talked to me about it. You trust me, and I do trust them to stop me."

"And I trust Zeal to make sure none of us pay a high price," I said softly.

The sound of his name summoned the god, and I knew it when Ela tensed. Glancing over my shoulder, I found Zeal relaxing in the single padded chair right across from what would end up as center stage. Wraythe was at the side, leaning against the kitchen counter. Then there was Talin. He stood with his arms crossed and a hunger in his eyes that made it clear this was happening.

"Sit down, Ela," Talin told him.

Zeal gestured to a spot close to him, and Ela moved to sit in a chair nearby. "Should I assume I'm welcome to watch the show?"

"Yep," Wraythe said as he lifted up something else. It was fabric, but it took me a moment to realize it was supposed to be a blindfold.

"Here's the rules," Talin said. "I will bind you. Wraythe will make sure you can't see. Your mouth will not be gagged, so when you say 'no' or 'stop,' we stop immediately. If anyone doesn't, the others will pull him off."

I knew he was talking about Ela, but the way he phrased it made that a general rule. I nodded again to show I was ok with this, so Talin thrust his arm toward the center of the room, making it clear that was where I needed to be.

"And," Zeal said, his eyes hanging on me, "I will know if she wants to stop you but is worried about saying it. There's no cheating when you play with a god, Nari."

"I have no intention of it," I assured him. "I also don't mind if you join in."

A devious smile curled Zeal's lips. "Maybe I enjoy watching my Chosen be pleased."

"Gotta take the dress off," Wraythe said, his voice just a little deeper and much rougher than normal.

Slowly, I worked the front open, turning so that Zeal and Ela could get a perfect view from where they sat. Talin's eyes dropped to my chest, but Wraythe moved beside me, his eyes locked on mine. If anything, that was even more sensual than the men looking at my body. It was personal, and the intensity made me hold his gaze as my breasts were exposed. Then, shoulder by shoulder, I slipped the dress off and let it fall to the ground.

Beneath, I wore only a comfortable pair of panties. I hadn't dressed to look sexy, yet when Zeal reached down to adjust himself, I realized that didn't matter. Talin was breathing just a little heavier. Ela looked almost bored - except for his gaze. That was one thing he couldn't fake. Then there was Wraythe, and the hunger in his eyes that I couldn't deny.

I bent to push off the panties, and then Talin immediately started guiding me back. I wasn't allowed to turn. I had to trust him. Soon enough, he told me to sit, and Wraythe stepped up. That dark piece of cloth had been folded enough times to block any light from coming through it. Carefully, as gently as I would expect, Wraythe laid it over my eyes and shifted behind me to tie it tightly.
