Wilder nodded. “Okay.”

Avery pressed a kiss to Wilder’s lips. Wilder dragged him down and rolled him underneath. Once again pinned to the mattress, Avery mewled with pleasure. He moaned again when Wilder’s hard cock poked his thigh.

“You’re insatiable,” Avery whispered.

“When I’m around you? Absolutely.” Wilder lifted Avery’s leg and positioned himself. “Are you sore?”

Not enough for him to want Wilder to stop. “No.”

Slowly, Wilder sank inside, their eyes locked. Avery moaned as he was filled again.

“Equals,” Wilder murmured as he hit home.

Avery met his alpha’s gaze. His breath caught as he saw the love in Wilder’s eyes and was shaken by it. Never had he imagined it would be like this with his mate.Never.“Love me.”

“Always,” Wilder whispered before capturing his lips.

He withdrew… only to sink deeper the second plunge. Avery cried out, the passion almost too much for his body to endure. If he’d known how good it would be between them, the hell if he’d have fought so hard against it. They moved as one, coming together again and again, everything but that moment forgotten.

Wilder drove him to the edge and back… and to the edge again. Finally he flew, his orgasm slamming into him seconds before Wilder came deep inside him.

Once more, they lay in a tangle of limbs, breathing hard, and their hearts on fire. After a few minutes' respite, Wilder reached for his phone.

“What now?”

“The realtor,” Wilder said. “We need that house, especially if we keep fucking like this. I’m gonna keep you pregnant.”

Avery arched a brow.

“I’m being facetious!” Wilder declared, chuckling. “But we need to decide on a house quickly.”

“Again, what’s the rush?”

“I want a place that’s ours. If it’s a fixer-upper, I want it done in time for the baby.”

Another idea hit Avery. “Or is it you fear I won’t be around to help you decide on a house?”

Wilder met his gaze. “No…” He winced. “Not exactly.”

“Then what is it?”

“Like I said. Before the baby comes.” He eyed Avery. “And maybe a bit of fear. I want you there when we pick the place we want to call home. Equals, remember? We make big decisions together.”

Avery kissed his alpha. “Call the realtor then. Let’s find our forever home.”

Wilder smiled before swiping his thumb across the screen. “On it.”

Later that evening,Wilder walked through the property he’d spoken of, trailing behind Avery. He observed his omega closely, searching and hoping Avery saw what he did. He’d neglected telling his mate that he’d already toured the house once before they had released Avery. It had been one of several, but stuck in his mind. It was much like the house Rohan and Gray called home, but needed a lot more work than he’d envisioned from his initial peeks from the road. Yet he could see potential there.

He’d already had it inspected by his lead engineer and was ensured that the house was in better shape structurally than it appeared. While his teams typically worked on commercial projects, they’d done a few grand homes in the past. He could imagine nothing grander than the home he’d share with his omega and their children.

He turned to gauge Avery’s reaction, but got little.

“I know this place needs a little more than a basic facelift, but the bones are good. A previous interested party had the place inspected and the structure itself is in wonderful shape,” their realtor said, eyeing Wilder.

“Why didn’t that party make the purchase?” Avery asked.
