“If you wish. What do you propose?”

“What do you want?”

“To go to the Hell again. I want to spend another night amidst the alphas of the Hell.”

“No. Not when you cheat so abominably.”

“Hear me out.” She dealt the cards. “Dressed in an alphas kit. Nothing so hard. Viola managed it. I have managed it.”

“When?” Puck leant forward and filled my glass again.

“Year and a half.” Hard to say he was more surprised when I spoke. My cheeks heated. But none could be more in shock than I when a smile bloomed on her face at the memory of that night.

“Correct. A year and a half for the season was at its height. Nothing like Vauxhall for stealing and.” She closed her mouth with a snap. I had fucked her in one of the grottos. The shells that had decorated the structure had pressed into her bottom, leaving marks for another two days.

“And?” Oberon frowned. “I know how your operation works. Did you do some daring rescue?”

“No.”

“What then? Come you are not so shy!” Puck laughed.

“No,” she said with more force.

“Let her be be.” I slammed my hand on the table.

“Ah. So you had her on your cock. Did she ride you? Did you slide into her tight quim?”

“Yes,” she snapped. “My omega quim, dripping slick all over his knot-less cock. His cock had no knot and I strangled it until he was shouting my name.”

She had been panting by the end, voice raw from screaming my name. And my balls ached at the memory of that night and the freedom and the…the love we had felt for each other.

“There she is,” Oberon purred. “You gave me one word at a time and now you let free.”

“Show you hand, Drexler,” I spat. “For if you have nothing I want I might as well leave.”

“That was not our deal.”

“Polly.” Her head whipped to Puck who shook his head softly. “Don’t be rash. Go. Sleep. You’ve had a long day.”

His consideration hit her like a slap.

“I’ll let you visit the Hell again, little bird. No need to get your back up. Go rest.”

“One more hand.” She shuffled the cards, put them down, flicked her nails against each other in a way that made me want to scream, before picking the cards up again.

“Tomorrow is the Equinox.” She dealt what I hoped would be the last hand of the night. Between us was a table littered with I.O.U.s for everything from fucking to riding a horse backwards to taking Tod to the zoo.

“Methinks, you have a plan?” Puck asked as if he hadn’t told her to go to bed a moment ago. His calm would earn him a place in every heaven.

“Close the Hell. Most will be at some festivity or other.”

“For what purpose omega?” Oberon frowned at his cards but his discards made her hiss in annoyance. I threw my hand down with a snarl. Playing with them was about as fair as swimming while weighted down with a tonne of feathers.

“My own.” Her eyes flashed to mine and deep, primal instinct told me what she planned, though how she intended to force her heat was beyond me.

“No, little bird. I’ll not close for one of your whims.” Oberon tutted at his cards.
