“Thanks,” I said, tapping my fingers on the bench, praying for the brew to hurry andboil.

Luckily, my dad took the plate of bread and cheese to my princes justthen.

I wiped sweat from my forehead, then got busy spooning the tea leaves in thestrainer.

A few moments later, I carried the cups on a tray into the sittingroom.

My men were munching on the nibbles and smiling. Well, Raze winked at me as I poured the tea, and I was overcome with the urge to sit on his lap. Instead, I shoved a cup into hishands.

Talin grabbed my hand once I was finished serving and drew me onto the sofa besidehim.

“I was admiring the lovely roses out front,” said Ash. “Do you gardentoo?”

Small talk. Perfect. Complimenting your future father-in-law’s garden and raising topics of mutual interest was a good start…I supposed. Oh, how would I know? I’d never done this before and didn’t plan on it again. The first time was stressfulenough.

The princes engaged in conversation with my father until the tea and snacks hadvanished.

Talin set his cup down, and I could tell by the intensity in his face he was going in for the kill. “You must be dying to know the reason for ourvisit.”

“Oh, well… yes,” replied my father. “It’s not every day four princes turn up at my door. Or that my daughter says she’s in love with one ofthem.”

The princes all glanced myway.

“Out with it,” Dad said. “Which one of you lucky fellows have stolen my daughter'sheart?”

They all stood, then got down on oneknee.

“Well, you see, sir,” said Talin, “we all came to ask for your daughter’s hand inmarriage.”

My father stiffened, put his shaking cup down, and pressed a hand to his chest. “Don’t joke about that with an old man. You’ll give me a heartattack.”

His gaze drifted between the princes andme.

“We kid you not, sir,” Levensaid.

Talin nodded. “I need a queen. And I choose yourdaughter.”

“We all do,” Levenadded.

My father’s brows bunched up, and he scratched his head. “I’m not sure about this. You’re from White Peak, so you’re bear shifters. And I don’t want my only daughter surrounded by danger her entirelife.”

Raze cleared his throat. “Sir, we have nothing but respect and love for Bee. With the four of us, no one would ever dare harmher.”

“I don’t understand how that would even work,” Dadsaid.

“It is very common in our land for a female to take several males,” Ash responded, holding his head high, proud.

Heck, I had no idea either how it would all work, but I didn’t care. “Dad, all I want is to be with these four men who have my heart. I love each one equally. This is what Iwant.”

He sighed. “Will there be four weddings?” Dad rubbed his chin. “Goddess. What will our family friends say about this? Will she live in White Peak? May I come visither?”

The questions just kept coming. My shifters didn’t have a chance toanswer.

“Who will have the honor of the wedding bed on the night of theceremony?”

Goddess. Fire claimed my cheeks. Why was he askingthat?

“When will I get grandchildren? Will they be princesses and princestoo?”
